  • Strong hands-on knowledge of LV distribution systems, PCC/MCC/MDB panels, switchgear, protection systems, generators, transformers, motors, and drives.

  • Proficient in AutoCAD for electrical SLDs, substation layouts, control schematics, lighting layouts, and other electrical drawings.

  • Practical knowledge of VCB, ACB, Isolator, ABS, ACR, ES, Transformers, and associated equipment.

  • Good knowledge of VFDs, soft starters, APFC/PFI, ATS/AMF, motor control circuits, earthing, and electrical protection systems.

  • Strong troubleshooting, fault analysis, emergency response, and preventive maintenance capabilities.

  • Good understanding of LOTO, PTW, PPE, electrical safety, and safe isolation procedures.

  • Strong leadership, team management, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.

  • Willingness to work in shifts and respond to emergency breakdowns when required.



Responsibilities & Context:

Meghna Re-Rolling and Steel Mills Limited (MRSML), a concern of Meghna Group of Industries is established a top-notch steel factory in Bangladesh with the latest European technologies and machinery having a production capacity of 1.5 million MT per annum. The vision of this concern is to produce world-class re-rolling products and billets, which will meet the uprising demand in the local market and will also bring significant economic growth by exporting around the globe. We are looking for a competent and experienced Assistant Manager – Low Voltage, Electrical & Substation for its Electrical & Substation Department. The incumbent will be responsible for supervising and maintaining 415V/LT electrical distribution systems, LV switchgear, generators, motors, drives, industrial lighting, and associated electrical equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and uninterrupted power supply across the factory complex.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Operate, inspect, and maintain 415V/LT distribution systems including PCC, MCC, MDB, SMDB, DB, busbars, and lighting panels to ensure safe and reliable power distribution.

  • Supervise operation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial lighting, emergency lights, street lights, and related electrical systems to ensure uninterrupted illumination.

  • Maintain and troubleshoot LV switchgear and control equipment including ACB, MCCB, MCB, contactors, overload relays, RCCB/ELCB, ATS/AMF, APFC/PFI, and associated protection systems.

  • Operate, inspect, and coordinate maintenance of generators, motors, pumps, fans, DOL/star-delta starters, VFDs, soft starters, and inverters to ensure reliable operation of plant equipment.

  • Perform electrical fault finding, switching, load balancing, fault isolation, emergency restoration, and breakdown maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.

  • Plan and execute preventive maintenance of electrical panels, cables, motors, control circuits, lighting systems, and other electrical equipment to improve reliability and equipment life.

  • Perform load calculations, cable sizing/selection, voltage-drop calculations, and basic LT distribution design, and prepare/update SLDs, electrical layouts, control wiring diagrams, and cable schedules using AutoCAD.

  • Supervise maintenance of electrical utility equipment and appliances including fans, pumps, refrigerators, TVs, ovens, washing machines, and other facility equipment to ensure uninterrupted service.

  • Ensure proper implementation of LOTO, PTW, PPE, earthing, safe isolation, and other electrical safety procedures while leading electricians/technicians and coordinating with HV/Substation, Utility, Production, Mechanical, and other departments.

  • Maintain operation logs, preventive maintenance schedules, breakdown records, inspection reports, and equipment history, and promptly escalate critical electrical issues to the Manager to ensure timely corrective action and uninterrupted power supply.
