• Key Responsibilities

  1. Represent the client on all project matters, acting as the primary point of accountability for project delivery within the PMC's scope of services.

  2. Lead and manage the PMC's site team- Civil Supervisors, and discipline inspectors assigning responsibilities and ensuring adequate site coverage.

  3. Review and validate contractors' work programs, method statements, and resource plans, and formally approve or reject them on the client's behalf.

  4. Monitor contractor performance against the contract, escalating underperformance, non-compliance, or contractual breaches to the client with recommended actions.

  5. Oversee the review and certification of contractor payment applications, ensuring measured works and progress align with site verification records.

  6. Manage the variation order and claims process reviewing contractor submissions, assessing cost/time impact, and issuing recommendations to the client for approval.

  7. Chair client-contractor coordination meetings, ensuring risks, delays, and technical issues raised by the PMC team are formally tracked and resolved.

  8. Ensure design queries, RFIs (Requests for Information), and technical clarifications are routed to the design consultant and closed out within agreed timeframes.

  9. Enforce project-wide HSE and quality standards through the PMC team, ensuring site inspection findings are escalated and rectified by the contractor.

  10. Consolidate progress, cost, and risk reports from the PMC site team into periodic status reports for the client, flagging issues requiring client decisions.

  11. Safeguard the client's contractual position — ensuring notices, extensions of time, and correspondence are issued in accordance with contract timelines.

  12. Lead project close-out on the client's behalf, including final account settlement, defects liability tracking, and formal project handover.
