🚨 URGENT HIRING – DEPUTY PROJECT MANAGER/CONSTRUCTION MANAGER | CHEC, MALDIVES 🇲🇻
China Harbour Engineering Co., Ltd. (CHEC) – Maldives is looking for an experienced and highly capable Construction Manager to join our Maldives Port Project.
📍 Location: Hulhumalé Island & Port Construction Site, Maldives
💼 Position: Construction Manager – Port & Marine Works
🌊 Project Focus: Jetty, Port, Coastal & Ocean/Marine Construction
🔹 KEY REQUIREMENTS
We are looking for a senior construction professional with approximately 10–15 years of total construction experience, including significant hands-on experience in:
• Jetty Construction Projects
• Port & Harbour Development Projects
• Marine & Offshore Construction
• Coastal & Reclamation Works
• Dredging & Revetment Works
• Cofferdams and Marine Structures
• Ocean/island-based construction projects
The ideal candidate should have strong practical experience managing jetty and marine construction activities from planning through execution and completion.
🔹 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage day-to-day construction activities for jetty, port, marine and coastal works.
• Plan and supervise construction methods, resources, manpower, equipment and materials.
• Prepare construction plans, method statements and technical briefings.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors and technical teams.
• Monitor project progress, quality, productivity and construction schedules.
• Conduct regular site inspections and resolve technical and site-related issues.
• Review drawings, quantities and construction requirements.
• Supervise and coordinate local subcontractors and construction teams.
• Verify completed quantities and support measurement, variation and commercial activities.
• Prepare weekly and monthly construction progress reports.
• Ensure compliance with project HSE requirements, particularly for marine and offshore activities.
• Coordinate with geotechnical and survey teams and optimize construction methods according to site conditions.
🎓 EDUCATIONAL & TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree or above in Civil Engineering, Port & Waterway Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, Marine/Coastal Engineering or a related field.
• 10–15 years of overall construction experience, with preferably 5–7+ years in port, jetty, marine, coastal, dredging or offshore projects.
• Proven experience in JETTY CONSTRUCTION is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of marine construction methods and site operations.
• Ability to read and understand English technical drawings and specifications.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of FIDIC contract conditions and procedures is preferred.
• NEBOSH / ISO 45001 / HSE certification will be an advantage.
• Must be willing to work long-term in an island and marine construction environment.
💰 SALARY & BENEFITS
💵 Monthly Salary: USD 1,300 – 2,000
🏠 Housing Allowance: USD 450/month
🍽️ Meal Allowance: USD 200/month
✈️ Annual Return Airfare: Fully reimbursed once per year
🏖️ Annual Leave: 30 days per year
