Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc.) in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.

Professional Experience:

• Minimum 7 years of relevant professional experience, preferably including at least 3 years in project/site management.
• Strong hands-on experience in Government Projects, Contract Management, Construction Management and Project Execution.
• Experience with PWD, LGED, RHD, BWDB, City Corporation, Bangladesh Railway, Ministry/Directorate projects or other Government agencies will be given preference.
• Experience in Building & Construction, Engineering Firms, Consulting Firms, Development Agencies or Real Estate projects will be considered.

Additional Requirements:

• Strong leadership, team management and decision-making ability.
• Strong practical knowledge of construction methods and site execution.
• Sound understanding of architectural and structural drawings.
• Strong knowledge of BOQ, Rate Analysis, Estimation, Measurement and Billing.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication and reporting skills.
• Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of MS Project and/or Primavera P6 will be an added advantage.
• Willingness to travel and visit project sites as required.

Job Context

We are seeking experienced, responsible and result-oriented Civil Engineers to join our project management team as Project Manager – Civil Engineering.

The selected candidates will be responsible for end-to-end coordination, execution, supervision, monitoring and timely delivery of assigned construction projects while ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, BOQ, quality standards, safety requirements and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, execute, monitor and supervise construction activities from mobilization through project completion and handover.
• Manage Government/Private construction projects, contracts and overall project execution.
• Ensure construction works are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, BOQ, work program, project schedule and quality standards.
• Prepare/review BOQ, Rate Analysis, Cost Estimation, Quantity Measurement and Contractor Bills.
• Monitor project budget, quantities, material consumption and cost to minimize wastage and unnecessary expenditure.
• Supervise and coordinate contractors, subcontractors, engineers, supervisors, skilled workers and site manpower.
• Coordinate effectively with Clients, Consultants, Contractors, Suppliers and relevant Government agencies.
• Review architectural, structural and other relevant drawings and coordinate technical issues between different disciplines.
• Monitor material quality, workmanship, testing and compliance with project specifications.
• Prepare and monitor work programs, project schedules, progress reports and resource plans.
• Maintain proper records of site activities, measurements, inspections, approvals, correspondence and project documentation.
• Identify project risks, delays and technical issues and take appropriate corrective actions.
• Ensure proper implementation of Quality Control, Health & Safety requirements and company policies.
• Ensure efficient utilization of manpower, equipment and construction materials.
• Conduct and participate in project coordination and progress meetings.
• Ensure timely project completion and proper project handover.
• Perform any additional engineering/project management responsibilities assigned by Management.
