Experience:
Strong hands-on knowledge of 33kV/11kV GIS/AIS substations, transformers, VCBs, ACBs, isolators, ABS, ACR, ES, protection systems, and control circuits.
Practical experience in SAS/SCADA, STATCOM, MPFC/PFC, power-factor correction, reactive power management, and power-quality monitoring.
Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, and electrical documentation systems.
Strong knowledge of LOTO, PTW, electrical isolation, discharge, earthing, safe switching, and HV electrical safety procedures.

We are looking for a competent and experienced Assistant Manager – Operation & Maintenance, Electrical & Substation to ensure the safe, reliable, and uninterrupted operation of 33kV/11kV substations, GIS/AIS, transformers, protection systems, SAS/SCADA, STATCOM, and associated equipment. The role will oversee electrical operations, shutdown/maintenance clearances, fault and emergency response, safety compliance, and coordination with relevant departments for stable power supply.
Job Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor 33kV/11kV GIS/AIS substations, transformers, VCBs, ACBs, isolators, ABS, ACR, ES, and associated equipment to ensure safe and reliable power supply.
Monitor, operate, configure, and troubleshoot SAS & SCADA systems, including alarms, events, remote operation, system integration, and basic programming support.
Operate and monitor STATCOM, MPFC, and PFC systems for reactive power management, voltage regulation, power-factor improvement, and maintaining overall power quality.
Monitor and maintain protection relays, relay coordination, interlocking systems, trip/close circuits, and control circuits to ensure effective electrical system protection.
Plan and execute safe shutdown, isolation, LOTO/PTW, discharge, earthing, maintenance clearance, and restoration procedures in accordance with approved safety practices.
Control and close shutdown and maintenance clearances, ensuring proper isolation, safety verification, authorized equipment handover, and safe restoration after maintenance.
Monitor electrical load, demand, load shedding, load balancing, energy consumption, and power availability to ensure efficient and uninterrupted power supply.
Analyze and respond to electrical faults, alarms, trips, abnormal conditions, and system events, taking timely corrective actions during breakdowns and emergencies.
Prepare, update, and maintain SLDs, substation layouts, control schematics, wiring diagrams, and other electrical drawings using AutoCAD.
Lead electrical operators/technicians, maintain shift reports, switching schedules, clearance records, equipment status and fault reports, ensure proper shift handover, and coordinate with Maintenance, Production, Utility, and other departments.
