∎ Job Title: Chinese TranslatorCompany: Red-Sun Garments LimitedIndustry: Ready-Made GarmentsJob Responsibilities:Translation & Interpretation: Provide accurate translations of written and spoken communication between Chinese and English for internal teams, clients, and suppliers. Translate technical and business documents, such as contracts, emails, product specifications, and production orders, with precision and attention to detail. Assist in real-time interpretation during meetings, conference calls, and presentations with Chinese-speaking stakeholders.Communication Support:Bridge the language gap between the company’s team and Chinese suppliers or clients, ensuring clear and effective communication at all stages of the business process. Assist in conveying key business messages and ensuring that the tone and intent of communications are maintained during translation.Documentation & Reporting:
∎ Maintain an organized database of all translated documents for future reference. Ensure timely and accurate reporting of communications between Chinese and English-speaking parties, ensuring no miscommunication or delays in the business process. Market Research & Cultural Understanding:
∎ Assist in market research by translating relevant industry articles, reports, and trends from Chinese sources. Provide insights into Chinese culture and language nuances, aiding in the adaptation of marketing materials and communication strategies to the local market.
∎ Coordination with Teams:
∎ Work closely with the production, quality control, and merchandising teams to facilitate smooth communication with Chinese suppliers and clients regarding orders, production timelines, and quality expectations. Support the procurement and logistics teams in translating product specifications, sourcing information, and supply chain documents.
∎ Administrative Support:
∎ Assist in preparing and reviewing contracts, purchase orders, and other business documents to ensure accurate translation and alignment with Chinese-speaking stakeholders’ needs.
∎ Additional Requirements:
∎ Experience:
∎ Prior experience in translation, especially within the garment industry or business setting.
∎ Skills:
∎ Proficiency in both Chinese (Mandarin) and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.Familiarity with industry-specific terminology in textiles and garments.
∎ Experience with translation software or tools is a plus.
∎ Soft Skills:
∎ Strong attention to detail, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
∎ Education:
∎ A degree or certification in translation, linguistics, or a related field is preferred.
