Required Skills & Expertise
Vast knowledge of merchandising practices, costing, product development, process of machine, wastage management, and buyer expectations in the knit garments industry, even if not directly managing merchandising operations.
Proven leadership experience in Sales & Marketing within the knit garments and other textile sector, preferably in export-oriented businesses.
Strong network of contacts among international apparel buyers, brands, and key industry stakeholders.
Excellent skills in strategic planning, market analysis, and business development.
Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, competitive market and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.

As part of our continued growth, we seek a visionary Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to lead our Sales & Marketing strategy, drive customer engagement, and spearhead business development initiatives worldwide.
Job Context
The Chief Marketing Officer (Sales & Marketing) will oversee the development and execution of strategies to grow the company's global market presence, secure new business opportunities, and maintain strong relationships with international buyers and brands. While direct management of merchandising operations is not part of this role, a deep understanding of merchandising processes, costing, and buyer expectations is essential to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and implement comprehensive Sales & Marketing strategies to increase revenue and market share in the global knitwear market.
- Develop and manage strong relationships with international buyers, brands, and strategic partners to secure long-term business collaborations.
- Identify new market opportunities and potential clients, driving business development efforts to expand the company's customer base.
- Analyze global market trends, customer demands, and competitor activities to inform strategic decision-making.
- Guide product development discussions to ensure alignment with market demands and buyer expectations.
- Develop brand positioning and communication strategies to strengthen the company's reputation and visibility in international markets.
- Collaborate closely with merchandising teams, providing strategic insights and ensuring a smooth transition from sales to execution.
- Lead price negotiations and contract discussions with key buyers and partners to secure profitable business deals.
- Set and monitor Sales & Marketing KPIs, ensuring measurable results and accountability across the team.
- Oversee sales balancing, manage sales targets, and ensure timely preparation and submission of monthly management reports to support strategic decision-making.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade fairs, and buyer meetings to promote the brand and build business networks.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and development opportunities to the Sales & Marketing team, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Prepare annual Sales & Marketing budgets and ensure optimal allocation of resources for maximum ROI.
- Report regularly to senior management on market insights, sales performance, and strategic initiatives.
- Undertake other strategic projects or assignments as required by management.
