Job Responsibilities:
∎ To participate in the strategic planning process, to lead the budgeting and forecasting of the Company's performance and to build a strong foundation by establishing financial discipline and ensuring accountability through follow-up & monitoring of performance and to recommend corrective measures for variance;
∎ To oversee asset liability management and fund management for the Company;
∎ To review the institution's financial conditions, financial position and recommend viable alternatives for cost effective operation;
∎ To establish a powerful and effective financial system in the Company and help to prepare all accounts & financial statements of the Company timely and review periodically;
∎ To plan, direct and coordinate the implementation of effective accounting and financial administration policies, procedures and reports to ensure meticulous compliance of Company's financial policy for sound financial management and control of the Company;
∎ To prepare, present and interpret financial reports to the Management, Board of Directors and Shareholders to direct and supervise preparation of all fiscal reporting, such as cost accounting, budgets, regulatory authorities and government reports;
∎ To meet the requirements of the regulatory authorities (Bangladesh Bank & others) regarding internal control, compliance and internal audit; provide suitable directions and leadership to the audit and inspection unit, monitoring unit and compliance unit; statutory audit (CA firms) and Bangladesh Bank inspection;
∎ Tax management - Corporate Tax, Withholding Tax, Payroll Tax and VAT in accordance with applicable laws prevailing in Bangladesh;
∎ To maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations;
∎ To ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies;
∎ To monitor all legal issues relating to financial matters, Tax, VAT etc;
∎ To submit reports to the Managing Director, Audit Committee, Board of Directors periodically with assurance that risk-based audit concept is being implemented effectively in order to establish an effective internal control system within the Company which will ultimately ensure that Company's asset & liabilities and other factors are free from risks to a great extent;
∎ To understand and recommend corrective measures on mitigating key elements of the Company's risk profile;
∎ To oversee employee benefit plans in accordance with relevant laws and international accounting standards to ensure adequacy of funded facilities as well as cost effectiveness;
∎ To partner and cross function with Business, Operations, Recovery and Risk functions along with Human Resources Division, Treasury and ICC Division of the Company;
∎ Any other work / responsibility as and when assigned by the Management of the Company.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 35 years
∎ The candidate should have at least 07 (seven) years practical experience in a reputed commercial Bank / financial institution, with at least 02 (two) years experience as Chief Financial Officer/Head of Financial Administration.
∎ Should have knowledge in Corporate Governance and Corporate Affairs in accordance with applicable laws / regulations in Bangladesh.
∎ Should be knowledgeable in International Financial Reporting Standards, International Accounting Standards, The Companies Act, The Financial Institution Act, Income Tax Ordinance, VAT Act, Laws, regulations & guidelines of Bangladesh Bank and Bangladesh Securities & Exchange Commission and other related laws.
∎ Must have good expertise on Microsoft Office as well as experience of handling core banking system and related business intelligence.
∎ Unquestioned commitment to integrity and ethical decision-making
