Responsibilities & Context:

Supervise and manage a specific kitchen section (e.g., hot kitchen, grill, pastry, pantry).

Prepare and cook food according to standard recipes and presentation guidelines.

Ensure food quality, taste, portion, and hygiene standards are maintained.

Monitor stock levels and assist in inventory control.

Train and guide Demi Chef de Partie and Commis chefs.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work station.

Coordinate with Sous Chef and other kitchen staff for smooth kitchen operations.

Ensure proper storage and handling of food items following food safety regulations.

Assist in menu planning and new dish development.

Minimize food wastage and control kitchen costs.

job Responsibilities of Commis Chef

Assist senior chefs in food preparation and cooking.

Prepare vegetables, meats, sauces, and other ingredients.

Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and work areas.

Follow recipes and instructions provided by senior chefs.

Ensure proper food storage and labeling.

Support kitchen operations during food service.

Learn kitchen procedures, cooking techniques, and presentation standards.

Follow hygiene, sanitation, and safety regulations.

Help reduce food wastage and maintain discipline in the kitchen.

Perform any additional kitchen duties assigned by supervisors.
