Job Context:
∎ JOB PURPOSE: Kumon is not just another after school program, Training Center or a regular education center. In the Franchise 500 ranking by "Entrepreneur Magazine" it has topped in several categories for many consecutive years. Instructor`s major role is to create a "model center" as per Kumon International Standard while maximizing the potential of all children who study in Kumon by following Kumon`s guidelines. The role requires strong leadership and team building capabilities with intention to work for the growth of children and community.
∎ SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme`s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Administer Diagnostic Test (DT), Achievement Test (AT) as per Kumon method
∎ Maintain overall Kumon center flow by assigning individual worksheet, observing students and providing feedback as per Kumon Instruction guidelines
∎ Create yearly goal, monthly study plan and weekly projections as per Kumon guideline and develop Kumon students' abilities to the maximum.
∎ Conduct monthly/yearly parents consultation to elaborate student's overall growth and progress. Plan and conduct individual/group parent orientations as per Kumon guidelines.
∎ As the lead of the unit, s/he will manage the entire Kumon Center and the staff. Instructor is responsible for ensuring monthly/yearly revenue goals set by the management.
∎ Supervise and manage an effective team by ensuring staff's continuous development and performance management.
∎ Increase efficiency of all staff by providing on the job training.
∎ Maintain communication with the Kumon International Education (KIE) Japan and Singapore team.
∎ Create and submit a monthly report as per Kumon standard. Submit other reports as required locally by BKL.
∎ Rapport building with different stakeholders e.g. House Owner, nearby Offices, community, Schools, Head Office etc.
∎ Adhere to BRAC and Kumon's safeguarding policies and ensure a safe, secure and child friendly environment for everyone that comes.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Must understand the principles of mathematics upto higher secondary level
∎ Skills in decision making and problem solving
∎ Able to present ideas and concepts effectively
∎ High proficiency in English and Bangla (writing, reading, listening, speaking)
∎ Email writing and rapport building capabilities
∎ Coordination being stakeholders
∎ Situation management skills
∎ Minimum 5 years' of experience in relevant field. Management experience in top schools/FMCG/Telecom/Banks will be given preference.
