Experience:

• At least 5 years

• A Biomedical engineering graduate from a reputed institute, with at least B. Tech/B. E in Biomedical engineering or B. Tech/B. E in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE) or having a bachelor’s degree in applied science (Biomedical Instrumentation) or bachelor’s in biomedical Instrumentation.

• At least 5 years

• Minimum 5 years of experience of managing bio-medical equipment in hospitals/ healthcare/ laboratories/ TB laboratory/ public health projects.
• Should have sound knowledge of laboratory equipment (preferably Tuberculosis lab equipment)
• Should have experience implementing and monitoring maintenance contracts for lab equipment.
• Should have an experience of vendor management.
• Should have sound knowledge of developing lab layout with a knowledge of biosafety, TB labs, layout, lab designing, etc. and finalizing work requirements such as civil and electrical works required for site.
• Good coordination & communication skills with stakeholders and agencies
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Strong team orientation
• Ability to work independently, with minimum handholding and supervision.
• Willing to travel as per the need of the project.
• Computer knowledge (Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, Outlook and Auto- CAD)
• Energetic, resilient, and passionate
• Professional, mature, and confident
• Will be efficient in effective time management

Project Background

Bangladesh continues to be amongst the 30 high TB and drug resistant TB burden countries in the world.

The TB laboratory infrastructure of Bangladesh includes 1 National TB Reference Laboratory (NTRL), 5 Regional TB Reference Laboratories (RTRLs), 619 GeneXpert sites with 735 Xpert machines (another 105 will be added by 2024)), 150 Truenat sites, 1120 designated microscopy centres and 277 X-ray sites.

FIND is providing technical assistance to NTP Bangladesh to strengthen TB Lab quality management systems under The Global Fund (TGF) grant.
