Responsibilities & Context:

The Role

You will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and improving backend systems and cloud infrastructure that power web applications, automation platforms, and internal tooling.

A significant portion of the role involves managing servers, deployment environments, and API services to ensure systems are secure, stable, and scalable.

You will work closely with frontend and automation developers to support integrations, performance optimisation, and infrastructure reliability.

This is a hands-on engineering role requiring strong systems thinking, disciplined architecture decisions, and the ability to stabilise and scale rapidly built systems.

Important

(1) You will be expected to own server architecture, cloud infrastructure, and deployment workflows.

(2) Reliability, security, and performance optimisation are core to this role.

(3) Clean code structure and backend maintainability are critical to prevent technical debt.

(4) You must be comfortable auditing, improving, and hardening systems that were built quickly and require production-grade stabilisation.
