Experience:
Master`s degree in Economics, Development Studies, International Relations, Business Administration, or a related field (Bachelor`s with strong experience may be considered)
Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience in fundraising, donor engagement, partnership management, or business development in NGOs, social enterprises, or development organizations
Proven history of securing high-value grants (USD 500k+) and managing complex donor relationships
Strong writing skills with proven experience in developing proposals, reports, and communication materials
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both Bangla and English
Strong networking and relationship-building skills with a variety of stakeholders
Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and deliver results under deadlines
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Google Workspace, and familiarity with CRM/fundraising software are advantages

Position Overview:
AYAT Education is seeking a high-caliber, strategic, and results-oriented Manager, Business Development & Partnerships. This leadership role is responsible for architecting and executing the organization`s resource mobilization strategy, diversifying revenue streams, and building high-level strategic alliances with global and local stakeholders.
The Manager will go beyond grant acquisition to explore innovative social business models, private sector integrations, and technology-driven partnerships (Al/Digital Health). This role requires a sophisticated communicator capable of representing AYAT to bilateral/multilateral donors, government ministries, and international tech partners.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Resource Mobilization and Revenue Diversification
Design and lead the implementation of a 3-year Resource Mobilization Strategy to ensure the long-term sustainability of all AYAT ventures.
Explore and pilot innovative "fee-for-service" models, impact investing opportunities, and social enterprise revenue streams to reduce donor dependency.
Conduct regular market intelligence and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends in the development sector and care economy.
2. Fundraising and Grant Writing
Take primary responsibility as the lead grant writer for winning grant proposals, technical narratives, and concept notes for international and local donors.
Design and implement a comprehensive annual fundraising strategy and calendar to ensure a steady pipeline of unrestricted and project-based funding.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct proactive donor mapping to identify and track EOI/RFP/CFP opportunities from bilateral (GIZ, JICA, KOICA, GAC, FCDO, EU), multilateral (World Bank, ADB, UN), and large foundations.
Oversee the end-to-end proposal management process, coordinating with finance and program teams to ensure technical excellence and financial viability.
Develop and execute specific scholarship fundraising campaigns to secure financial support for marginalized youth across AYAT`s training institutes.
3. High-Level Partnership and Stakeholder Management
Build and nurture strategic relationships with government bodies (DGHS, DGNM, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Social Welfare) and private sector leaders (BGMEA, BKMEA).
Lead negotiations for MoUs and long-term partnership agreements with international universities and global healthcare employers (Europe, Japan, the Middle East).
Act as a primary liaison for technology partners to integrate Al and digital solutions into AYAT`s teaching service delivery models.
Manage high-value corporate social responsibility (CSR) partnerships, ensuring measurable impact and long-term engagement.
4. Strategic Communication and Brand Positioning
Oversee the production of high-impact organizational collateral, including Annual Reports, Capacity Statements, and Impact Stories.
Position AYAT as a thought leader in the "Skill Development" and "Care Economy" sectors through representation at national and international forums.
Direct the development of sophisticated donor engagement materials, ensuring alignment with AYAT`S premium brand identity and mission.
5. Project Design and Inter-departmental Synergy
Work closely with Program Leads and Academic Faculty to co-create commercially viable and socially impactful project designs.
Facilitate "Design Thinking" workshops internally to brainstorm new ventures or interventions based on market demand.
Ensure that BD efforts are aligned with the operational capacity of the Nursing College, Skills Center, and other ventures.
6. Compliance, Safeguarding, and Risk Management
Ensure all partnership agreements and funding contracts comply with local laws, international donor regulations, and AYAT`s internal policies.
Integrate ethical recruitment and safeguarding standards into all partnership frameworks, especially for migration and caregiving initiatives.
Monitor risk factors in the partnership pipeline and develop mitigation strategies for potential funding gaps.
7. Team Leadership and Performance Tracking
Mentor and manage the BD and Partnerships team, setting clear KPIs and fostering a culture of high performance and ethical networking.
Manage the partnership pipeline (CRM) and provide regular analytical reports to the top management on fundraising progress, ROI, and market trends.
