∎ M.Sc in Environmental Science from a reputed University

Experience Requirements:

Job Context:

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Prepare and organize the factories according to buyer's standards e.g. ISO 14001-2004, Oeko-Tex, OSHAS 18001:2007certification.
∎ Prepare policy regarding Environmental Conservation Rules 1997 and Environmental Conservation Act1995
∎ Interpretation of Legal environmental requirement with concerned departments.
∎ Monitor and implement sustainability projects like Puma SAVE, ZDHC, SAC, CPI2, PACT and GIZ etc. in factories.
∎ Review the environmental compliance activities of the factories & Visit the floor with Buyers during audit time.
∎ Implement and monitor Sustainability Program Recommendations for all the sister concerns of DBL Group
∎ Collect information and conduct meeting as planning stage of project implementation and monitor continuous improvement plan.
∎ Arrange different test from certified testing organization according to requirements of buyers and Maintain close relation with the recognized testing organization. BUET, SGS, BUREAU VERITAS, ITS & etc.
∎ Arrange waste water and sludge test from certified testing organization for dyeing and printing unit according to requirements of buyers
∎ Update all the test reports and certificates according to the expiry dates.
∎ Collect data and submission for different project requirement.
∎ Monitor and implement routine wise activities regarding project recommendations.
∎ Continuous update MIS website of Sustainability portion
∎ Conduct internal audit, prepare monthly audit report according to schedule and & update factories for buyer's environmental standards.
∎ Environmental audit findings sharing with concerned department & planning how it can be rectified by taking completion time line and follow up on due time for that issues accordingly.
∎ Cooperate with different organizations who have taken different initiative to reduce environmental impact of our factories
∎ Attend meeting arranged by different buyers in their offices and in our factory
∎ Face Buyer Audit, third party audit, financial party audit regarding environmental requirements by coordinating with buyer team and prepare documentations for buyer's CAP
∎ Any other environmental issues coming from buyer's team instantly forward to the concerns and guide them to implement to the concerns.
∎ Explain all environmental documents & records to the Buyers audit team on behalf of the management during third party as well as financial party audit.
∎ Share buyer wise issues and conduct team meeting to review and feedback from the team member.
∎ Asses the company benefits and implement the projects such as Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemical (ZDHC), Energy Saving Initiative Program (ESIP), Sustainability Factory program, Water Sustainability by IFC, etc.
∎ Post-performance evaluation of environmental project activities to implement project activities cost effective way.
∎ Identify the new environmental aspects & impacts and mitigate the measures.
∎ Monitor EMS Team and feedback from team members
∎ Update all compliance related law and COC such as Labor Law 2006,BNBC2006, BSCI etc.
∎ Assist to prepare training manual and policy on environmental issues for staff and workers for all factories
∎ Provide training to the workers on Environmental management system.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 5 years of experience in related field from any large RMG Industry
∎ Sound knowledge in ECA (1995) and ECR (1997).
∎ Pro-active, independent and result oriented
∎ Proactively trouble shoot and problem solving capacity
∎ Strong interpersonal skills for building collaborative working relationships within the team
∎ Strong knowledge in Bangladesh Labor Rules (BLR) and Labor Law
∎ Excellent communication skills both written and speaking in English
∎ Well conversant in MS-Office
