Job Context:
∎ We are looking for a dynamic, passionate, and self-driven individual for the position of Associate Officer - Communications for our country office in Bangladesh.
∎ The incumbent will support communication team in enhancing WaterAid`s presence among national and international audience through vibrant engagement at community, stakeholder, social, digital, and news media. This role is vital in developing and implementing effective communication strategies that enhance the organisation`s reputation, promote its goals, and ensure clear and consistent messaging across various channels. As a core member of the team, s/he will work to develop and deliver communication materials/assets to reach wider audience via intranet, external website, physical and digital campaign with the highest quality standards.
∎ Reportable to: Senior Officer - Communications
∎ Contract Tenure:02 Years, Fixed Term
∎ Working Hours: Full time (05 days in a week, minimum 37.5 hours per week)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Creating comprehensive communication plans tailored to the organisation's objectives including identification of target audiences, selection of appropriate communication channels, and crafting messages that resonate with stakeholders
∎ Facilitate smooth communication within the organisation, ensuring employees are well-informed about organisational updates through newsletters, intranet content etc
∎ Crafting compelling messages to engage external stakeholders including (but not limited to) press releases, social media posts, website content, photo stories, designed documents, AV production, and strategic presentations following WaterAid's brand guidance and impeccable quality standard
∎ Produce creative campaign for social media ensuring online engagement and promotio
∎ Manage social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Tiktok, Yammer etc), maintain content calendar for social media, and deliver weekly report on analytic
∎ Liaison between the organisation and media houses including organising media events, interview
∎ Analyse the effectiveness of communication strategies through various metrics and feedback mechanism
∎ Leverage digital platforms and technologies to reach broader audiences, enhance footprints in digital space, and engage with stakeholders through social media, and other online channels
∎ Undertake assignments like translation, transcription, and coordinate with other teams to provide required suppor
∎ Keep abreast of industry trends, communication best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve the organisation's communication
∎ These responsibilities are subject to change upon reviewing by the line manager from time to time.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 01 (one) year work experience in relevant field. Core expertise should be in engaging, developing and designing creative and appealing content for mass communication, digital and social media platforms.
∎ Strong in writing and copyediting in both English and Bangla
∎ Ability to develop content in Canva, Adobe Illustrator (or equivalent), or PowerPoint
∎ Ability to work in Meta Business Manager and online analytics platforms
∎ Hands-on experience in photography and/or cinematography
∎ Desktop publication experience in InDesign or MS Publisher
∎ Experience in video editing suites such as Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects
∎ Basic understanding of development programmes and work
∎ Experience of working in core communications and/or creative agency
∎ Competencies: Must be a team player with an understanding of gender & cultural sensitivity, self-motivated, proactive, organised, capable to work under extreme pressure juggling with blisteringly urgent priorities and meeting deadlines. In addition, s/he needs to have the willingness to learn and execute new communication strategies in order to effectively convey organisation's message, and present in positive manner.
