• Minimum 7 years apparel merchandising experience with at least 3 years in similar or higher position in a well reputed buying office and/ or factory.

• Experience in managing both USA and EU brands.

• Manage a team comprising of experienced merchandisers. Develop and inspire the team in achieving goals of the company by being an effective leader. .

• Strong working knowledge on woven and knits fabrics, garment construction and workmanship issues including in Print, Embroidery, Wash etc.

• Strong negotiation skills and experience in garment costing based on industrial tools such as garment SMV, minute cost, production efficiency etc.

• A good knowledge in garment consumption, fabric, trim prices and costs on wash, embellishments etc. to be used effectively to achieve competitive costs.

• Highly skilled in generating and presenting weekly, monthly and annual reports analyzing on time delivery performance, factory performance and KPIs for top management review

• Highly skilled in managing factory teams and suppliers. Effective conflict management and Problem-solving skills

• Strong knowledge of market challenges, opportunities and factory base in Bangladesh enabling to expand factory base as per business needs.

• Excellent English Communication skills- Written and Spoken which enables to build strong working relationships with buyers/customers.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe products enabling efficient report generation and high-level presentations.

• A “leader” who will delegate responsibility to his team and effectively “manage” their career growth within the company.

• Ideally below 45 years of Age.

The Associate Merchandising Manager is responsible for overseeing the complete process of apparel merchandising from concept development to bulk production and final delivery. The role ensures timely execution, cost efficiency, quality compliance, and effective coordination between buyers, vendors, and internal teams.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team in achieving the highest standards in order management across Product development, Costing, Bulk production and shipping of goods on time with the required quality standards.

• Ensure the team and the factories strictly adhere to the company’s working procedures and systems at all time. “Lead by example”.

• Actively coordinate the price negotiation process with factories, mills and trim suppliers to secure the best cost for the customer and the company within the established time limits for costing.

• Efficiently Manage and be responsible for tracking critical path/T&A, forecasting delays and course corrective action if needed with proactive action plans to ensure On Time Delivery

• Have strong control & monitoring capability over the production & its schedules in the factories for the entire satisfaction of customers.

• Resolve conflicts between buyers and factories diplomatically

• Evaluate vendor performance on order execution, cost, quality and delivery.

• Deligate work, monitor performance, and ensure team productivity.

• Address quality issues effectively and implement corrective action in a trimly manner in order to sustain buyer confidence in the team.

• Be actively involved and work closely with the compliance teams to resolve issues efficiently and ensure the factories are in full compliance for your business needs.

• Identify new business opportunities and project annual business growth targets to the top management. Achieve growth targets successfully.
