Job Responsibilities:
∎ 1. Assist the design team in creating and developing woven top textile designs, patterns, and colour combinations.
∎ 2. Collaborate with the design team to interpret and translate design concepts into practical woven fabric samples.
∎ 3. Conduct research on current market trends, materials, and techniques to stay updated on the latest developments in woven textile design.
∎ 4. Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, and design documentation for production purposes.
∎ 5. Assist in selecting appropriate yarns, fibers, and materials for woven fabric production.
∎ 6. Work closely with the production team to ensure accurate implementation of design specifications during the manufacturing process.
∎ 7. Assist in the creation of design presentations and sample boards for client meetings and design reviews.
∎ 8. Support the design team in organizing and maintaining design archives, fabric swatches, and sample libraries.
∎ 9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including merchandising, sourcing, and quality control, to ensure seamless coordination and timely completion of design projects.
∎ 10. Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in woven textile design techniques.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 35 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Strong proficiency in design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and CAD systems.
∎ Solid understanding of woven textile design principles, fabric construction, and weaving techniques.
∎ Excellent visual and conceptual skills with the ability to translate design concepts into practical woven fabric samples.
∎ Good English comprehension and proficiency in order to communicate with customers/suppliers.
∎ Attention to detail and accuracy in technical drawings and design specifications.
∎ Good organizational and time management skills to meet project deadlines.
∎ Effective communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
∎ Knowledge of textile manufacturing processes and familiarity with woven fabric production.
∎ A portfolio showcasing your design skills and creative projects is highly desirable.
