Estimator-Waterpark Project
Job Summary
We are seeking a competent, analytical and detail-oriented Estimator to join our team for an upcoming Waterpark Development Project.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate quantity take-offs, BOQs, cost estimates, rate analysis, tender documents and commercial comparisons for a wide range of construction activities, including civil, architectural, MEP, swimming pool, water-feature and associated works.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction estimator to work on a large-scale, multidisciplinary development project and gain exposure to a specialized waterpark environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and BOQs from architectural, structural, civil, MEP and other project drawings.
Prepare preliminary, detailed and revised project cost estimates at different stages of design and construction.
Carry out rate analysis for materials, labor, equipment and subcontractor works.
Review drawings, specifications, scope of work and tender documents to identify quantities and cost requirements.
Prepare and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
Prepare comparative statements and support commercial evaluation of quotations and tenders.
Assist in preparing RFQs, tender BOQs and other procurement-related documents.
Coordinate with the Design, Engineering, Procurement and Project Management teams to clarify scope, quantities and specifications.
Maintain and regularly update material, labor, equipment and subcontractor rate databases.
Monitor project costs against approved budgets and highlight significant cost variations.
Review contractor/subcontractor measurements, bills, claims and variation proposals as required.
Assist in evaluating variation orders, additional works and cost implications.
Support the project team in cost forecasting, budget preparation and cost control.
Identify opportunities for value engineering and cost optimization while maintaining required quality and project standards.
Maintain proper records of estimates, BOQs, quotations, rate analyses and commercial evaluations.
Perform other estimation and quantity surveying responsibilities assigned by management.
