∎ LL.B. (Hons.), L.L.M. from a recognized university (having no 3rd Division / Class in any academic record)
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 8 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensuring Compliance with Financial Institution Act, Companies Act, Negotiable Instrument Act, Artha Rin Adalat Ain, Bangladesh Bank Circulars, BSEC Notifications & Rules, and other related rules and regulations of the regulators;
∎ Preparing ‘legal documents’ for various purposes of the Company;
∎ Preparing and/or checking agreements, charge & security documents such as ‘deed of mortgage’, ‘irrevocable general power of attorney’, ‘deed of redemption of mortgage’, ‘documents related to creation of charges with RJSC&F’, ‘share purchase agreement’, ‘joint venture agreement’, etc.;
∎ Providing legal opinion regarding any procedural lapse or operational flaw in the Company;
∎ Monitoring, supervising and maintaining liaison with panel lawyers regarding lawsuits;
∎ Monitoring and representing the Company in the ‘courts of law’ in the suits and cases filed and/or to be filed against defaulted borrowers, fraudsters etc.;
∎ Preparing strategies for acceleration of all pending suits and cases;
∎ Preparing progress report of suits and cases filed and submitting the same to the Board of Directors and Bangladesh Bank;
∎ Working as the Compliant Handling Officer (CHO);
∎ Preparing Notice & Minutes of Compliant Management Committee;
∎ Reporting about Complaints to the Board of Directors and Bangladesh Bank;
∎ Any other activities as and when assigned by the Management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 40 years
∎ 8 [eight] years with at least 5 [five] years’ experience in Legal Affairs Department of any Bank/Non-Bank Financial Institution.
∎ Excellent typing skill in English and Bengali.
∎ Not more than 40 years age as on May 20, 2023. Age limit may be relaxed for experienced candidate.
