Responsibilities & Context:
Job context:
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Washing Manager to oversee all washing operations in our garments/denim washing unit. The ideal candidate must have strong technical knowledge of washing recipes, chemicals, machinery, production planning, quality control, and team management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. R&D Process Management:
· Plan, organize and supervise daily washing production activities.
· Develop and maintain washing recipes for denims fabrics.
· Monitor wash processes to ensure shade, hand-feel, and finishing consistency.
· Will prepare collections for buyers, decide new wash concepts, Innovative/sustainable wash concepts. Will work closely with product development responsible, marketing & buyers.
2. Quality Assurance:
· Ensure all washes meet buyer requirements and approved standards.
· Conduct wash trials and approve wash samples.
· Work closely with the QA/QC team to resolve wash-related quality issues.
3. Chemical & Cost Control:
· Monitor use of chemicals, dyes, enzymes, and auxiliaries to reduce cost.
· Ensure safe chemical handling and proper storage.
4. People & Team Management:
· Supervise washing supervisors, operators, and helpers.
· Train team members on wash techniques, machines, and safety procedures.
5. Compliance & Safety:
· Ensure compliance with factory safety guidelines and environmental standards.
· Maintain records for audits (buyer, compliance, chemical inventory).
· Implement eco-friendly washing practices (water-saving, chemical control, ETP collaboration).
6. Reporting & Coordination
· Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly washing reports.
· Coordinate with marketing, production, PD and QA departments.
