Responsibilities & Context:

Keep abreast of customers’ needs and be the local contact person for the Merchants/Designers

for sourcing market development, reviewing and proposing to add or exit suppliers.

Manage and control the price negotiation with suppliers, collect market and competitor activities.

Accountable for final order negotiation with the vendors, manage and control order details and requirements to the suppliers/production units.

Sourcing potential new suppliers, manage reliable and responsive supply base, discuss supplier performance to achieve speed to market.

Ensure satisfactory execution of all POs placed for business stream to meet all commercial KPIs: OTD, RTS, Conformity, Lead Time, etc.

Manage cross-functional parties (eg: QA/Technical Teams) on order status and supplier capabilities.

Closely follow up on critical path with team and solve problems (if arise) in the process.

Guide and keep track of team to manage the whole process pre and post order placement ensuring quantity, quality, order specification and delivery dates are achieved.

Help team members find ways to test new ideas efficiently through rapid prototyping and view innovation as a journey that may involve many turns.

Should have good knowledge in garments (in knitting, dyeing, wash and printing process), costing, product/business development and customer relations.

Has good understanding of garment construction, costing, and fabric.

Must be capable to setup a clear direction and expectations and gives people the space to operate.
