Job Context:
∎ Executive, IT & Network Support is responsible to maintain, upgrade and manage Company`s software, hardware and networks. This position is for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software, WAN & LAN and related infrastructure. S/he participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, internet setup and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff, volunteers, and Partners.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Establishes network specifications by conferring with users; analyzing workflow, access, information, and security requirements; designing router administration, including interface configuration and routing protocols;
∎ Maintains network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting network problems; escalating problems to vendor;
∎ Secures network by developing network access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; maintaining documentation;
∎ Upgrades network by conferring with vendors; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements;
∎ Install and configure software and hardware;
∎ Set up and monitor the server and storage functions;
∎ Troubleshoot issues and outages;
∎ Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls;
∎ Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential;
∎ Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments;
∎ Responsibilities sometimes require working evenings and weekends, sometimes with little advanced notice.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 28 to 40 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ 5+ years proven experience in IT support and network administration or similar role;
∎ Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management;
∎ Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems), data backup/recovery etc;
∎ Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms;
∎ Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude;
∎ Excellent communication skills;
∎ Able to work under stress.
Salary: Negotiable
