Responsibilities & Context:

We are looking for a proactive and result-driven Assistant Manager – HR to manage end-to-end Human Resource operations for our retail business. The incumbent will be responsible for manpower planning, recruitment, payroll management, performance management, employee engagement, and HR compliance to support smooth retail operations and organizational growth.

  • Manage manpower planning, budgeting, and staffing to ensure smooth retail operations.

  • Design and monitor KPI-based incentive programs aligned with business goals and budgets.

  • Oversee attendance, absenteeism control, and punctuality improvement initiatives.

  • Identify training needs, organize development programs, and maintain succession and career progression plans.

  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing within the scheduled timeline.

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment and talent acquisition to maintain a strong workforce pipeline.

  • Maintain healthy employee relations by resolving grievances and ensuring policy compliance.

  • Plan and execute regular employee engagement initiatives to promote a positive work culture.

  • Administer disciplinary actions in accordance with company policies and procedures.

  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, SOPs, and statutory requirements.

  • Oversee performance management, probation reviews, and employee confirmation processes.

  • Support HR strategy development and continuous improvement of HR policies and practices.
