Additional Requirements:

Minimum 12 years of experience in quality control within a knit dyeing factory, with at least 5 years in a senior managerial role (Manager, Head of Quality or AGM).

Responsibilities & Context:
  • Develop, implement, and enforce a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS) for Knitting and knit dyeing process.
  •  Lead, mentor, and develop the entire QC & QA team (in-process and final inspection).
  •  Set departmental goals, KPIs (e.g., RFT, Customer Return Rate).
  •  Oversee the entire quality chain: incoming yarn/fabric inspection, in-process checks and final inspection.
  •  Ensure rigorous shade approval, physical testing (GSM, shrinkage, spirality, pilling, tensile strength), and colorfastness testing.
  •  Manage the relationship with external testing laboratories and certification bodies.
  •  Lead root cause analysis for quality defects like shade variation, dye spots, patchy dyeing, GSM variation, diameter variation and fabric defects.
  •  Collaborate with Production, R&D, and Maintenance teams to solve chronic quality issues and optimize processes for consistency.
  •  Drive initiatives to reduce re-dyeing, reprocessing, and customer rejections, thereby improving efficiency and reducing cost of quality.
  •  Serve as the key point of contact for customer quality audits and technical discussions.
  •  Ensure all products comply with buyer specifications, international standards (AATCC, ISO, ASTM), and safety/regulatory requirements (e.g., Oeko-Tex, REACH).
  •  Handle customer complaints effectively, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  •  Standardize operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for all QC activities.
  •  Utilize quality control software and tools for data analysis and trend reporting.
