Responsibilities & Context:
- Perform and supervise daily lab dyeing, shade matching, and preparation of lab dips for customer approval.
- Serve as a technical point of contact for buyers and merchandisers on shade approvals, color issues, and technical clarifications.
- Operate and maintain lab dyeing machines, spectrophotometers, and testing equipment.
- Conduct routine colorfastness tests. Record and report result accurately.
- Assist in developing and adjusting dye recipes.
- Maintain organized records of lab dips, test results, and batch details.
- Issue approved lab recipes and processes to the batching team. Help investigate bulk production shade deviations and quality issues.
- Perform initial quality check on all incoming chemicals and dyes.
- Train and guide junior lab technicians
