Sound knowledge of textile physical and color fastness testing.

Familiarity with ISO, AATCC, ASTM, BS, EN testing standards.

Basic understanding of laboratory quality systems (ISO/IEC 17025 will be an advantage).

Ability to operate laboratory testing equipment independently.

Computer literacy:Microsoft WordMicrosoft ExcelMicrosoft OutlookInternet browsing.

Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Bengali.

Ability to understand and respond to email internal communication.

Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

We are looking for a sincere, detail-oriented, and self-motivated Laboratory Technician to join our Textile Testing Laboratory ( European Buyer Approved ). The selected candidate will perform physical and colour fastness testing according to international standards, buyer requirements, and laboratory quality management procedures.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct textile testing as per ISO, AATCC, ASTM, BS, EN standards and buyer-specific testing methods.

• Perform the following laboratory tests:

  • Colour Fastness to Washing & Laundering

  • Colour Fastness to Rubbing (Dry & Wet)

  • Colour Fastness to Light

  • Colour Fastness to Water

  • Colour Fastness to Saliva & Sweat

  • Colour Fastness to Perspiration

  • Colour Fastness to Phenolic Yellowing

  • pH Test

  • Bursting Strength

  • Fabric Mass per Unit Area (GSM)

  • Pilling Resistance

  • Abrasion Resistance

  • Dimensional Stability to Washing

  • Spirality / Skew Movement

• Ensure testing is performed accurately and within the required turnaround time.

• Maintain complete and accurate laboratory records, test worksheets, and equipment logbooks as assigned.  

• Carry out daily machine verification, monitoring, calibration, and maintenance as assigned.

• Monitor laboratory chemicals, consumables, and accessories, and report replenishment requirements.

• Follow laboratory quality procedures, safety rules, and housekeeping practices.

• Assist in internal audits, proficiency testing, and laboratory accreditation activities.

• Communicate effectively with seniors regarding testing status, equipment issues, and non-conformities.
