Responsibilities & Context:

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Programmer to manage, maintain, update, upgrade, develop, and enhance our university’s official Database Application Software. The ideal candidate will ensure that the site remains visually appealing, up-to-date, secure, and user-friendly for students, faculty, and visitors.

Core Responsibilities

A typical job description includes:

• Writing code: Creating programs using languages like Python, Java, C++, PHP, CakePHP, .NET, or JavaScript, TypeScript to solve problems or build applications.

• Database: Work experience in Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) like Oracle, SQL, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.

• Server Maintenance: Work experience in UNIX Server like Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS, or Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL). • Testing and debugging: Finding and fixing errors (bugs) in programs to ensure they work correctly.

• Maintaining and updating software: Updating existing programs to improve performance, fix issues, or add new features, update regular basis and maintenance of University’s existing software.

• Security and Backup software: Ensure Application Software’s security, backup, and optimization for performance.

• Collaborating with teams: Working with designers, engineers, and project managers to develop software solutions.

• Analyzing requirements: Understanding what users or businesses need and translating those needs into functional software.

• Documenting code: Writing clear explanations so others can understand and maintain the program.
