Fashion Power Group's Design Atelier in Dhaka develops denim, woven and knit samples for international buyers. We are looking for a Wash Technician to develop wash effects and finishes for our collections, working with partner washing units.

Key responsibilities

•      Develop wash effects for denim and garment-washed products (enzyme, stone, bleach, acid, tinting, overdye, pigment and similar)

•      Develop dry process effects such as whiskers, hand sanding, grinding, destroy and 3D crinkle

•      Prepare wash standards, recipes and wash development sheets for each style

•      Coordinate wash sampling with outside washing units and follow up on timelines and quality

•      Check washed samples for shade, effect, hand feel, shrinkage and measurement changes

•      Build and maintain a wash library of approved effects and recipes

•      Advise designers on achievable wash looks and sustainable wash options (laser, ozone, low-water processes)

Requirements

•      Bachelor's degree or diploma in Textile Engineering, Wet Processing or a related field

•      7–9 years of experience in denim or garment wash development

•      Strong knowledge of wet and dry wash processes, chemicals and their effect on fabrics

•      Understanding of shade evaluation and shrinkage control

•      Knowledge of laser and ozone finishing is a plus

•      Good coordination and follow-up skills with washing plants
