Education:
- Masters degree in any discipline
- Bachelor degree in any discipline
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
- Professional certifications such as FLMI, ACII, or Insurance Diploma from Bangladesh Insurance Academy will be considered an added advantage.
- Training in Underwriting/Reinsurance from BIA or equivalent institutions is highly preferred.

- Age At least 25 years
- Minimum 03–06 years of experience in life insurance underwriting and reinsurance.
- Good Communication skills in both Bangla & English.
- Strong IT knowledge and experience in managing digital underwriting and reinsurance processes.
Responsibilities & Context:
Underwriting & Risk Assessment
- Assess life insurance applications based on medical, financial, and occupational risk factors.
- Review and interpret supporting documents such as medical reports, income proofs, and proposal forms.
- Decide on standard cases within assigned underwriting authority; escalate complex cases to senior underwriters or reinsurers.
- Ensure underwriting decisions are made in accordance with company guidelines, reinsurance manuals, and regulatory compliance.
Process Management
- Maintain accurate underwriting records and document rationale for decisions in the underwriting system.
- Coordinate with medical examiners, diagnostic centers, and third-party vendors for required reports and tests.
- Follow up with sales/support teams to collect pending requirements from clients.
- Support digitized/automated underwriting initiatives, when applicable.
Client & Channel Support
- Provide clear communication and guidance to sales and operations teams regarding underwriting decisions and requirements.
- Handle queries from sales channels and policyholders regarding underwriting-related matters.
Risk Compliance
- Ensure underwriting practices follow internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines.
- Assist in detecting potential fraud or misrepresentation.
