Responsibilities & Context:
Conduct detailed analyses of production lines to achieve optimal balance and efficiency. Identify and address bottlenecks or inefficiencies in the production process.
Continuously monitor line performance metrics and make real-time adjustments to ensure production goals are met.
Create detailed production schedules that align with demand forecasts and order requirements. Ensure schedules are optimized for resource utilization and meet delivery deadlines.
Work closely with the planning, merchandising, and production teams to synchronize production schedules with inventory levels and customer orders.
Collect and analyze performance data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement. Use this data to make informed decisions.
Create comprehensive reports on work measurement, productivity, and efficiency. Present findings to management and recommend actionable improvements.
Assess the skills and competencies of new operators. Identify skill gaps and determine training needs.
Design and implement training programs to enhance operator skills, knowledge, and performance. Ensure training is aligned with production goals and industry best practices.
Monitor and assess the outcomes of process improvements. Ensure that changes lead to increased efficiency, reduced costs, and higher quality.
Provide insights and recommendations for strategic planning based on capacity analysis and resource availability.
Recommend and implement digital solutions to support production management, data analysis, and reporting. Ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
Create detailed reports on production performance, line efficiency, process improvements, and other relevant metrics. Provide insights and recommendations to management.
Collaborate with other departments, including planning, merchandising, and production, to ensure smooth operations and alignment with company goals.
Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers to support production activities and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
Ensure that all production processes comply with safety standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
