A. KNOWLEDGE
Electrical Systems & Plant Equipment
• Strong knowledge of plant electrical systems including motors, drives, control panels, sensors, and safety circuits.
• Understanding of troubleshooting methodologies for electrical faults in production equipment.
• Knowledge of preventive and scheduled maintenance techniques for electrical assets.
Mechanical & Pneumatic Systems
• Working knowledge of mechanical systems: gearboxes, couplings, bearings, pumps, valves, pipelines, mixers, agitators.
• Knowledge of pneumatic systems including FRL units, cylinders, solenoid valves, compressors, and air leak control.
Utilities Support Knowledge
• Basic understanding of utility systems such as AHU, Chiller, Compressor, HWG, and WTP and their integration with plant operations.

Asset Maintenance & PM Infrastructure Management
• Manage and execute preventive maintenance (PM) and autonomous maintenance (AM) for high-value making assets (e.g., Vacuum Mixers, High-Shear Homogenizers, Slurry Tanks, and Transfer Pumps).
• Act as the first responder for mechanical failures, seal leaks, or agitation faults to minimize batch losses and maintain production flow.
• Maintain rigorous maintenance logs and update equipment history, including MTBF (Mean Time Between Failure) data and component replacement logs, within the CMMS or ERP.
Cleaning, Sanitation (C&S) & Operational Integrity
• Monitor the effectiveness of Cleaning-In-Place (CIP) and Sterilization-In-Place (SIP) cycles, ensuring temperature, detergent concentration, and flow rates meet validated hygiene standards.
• Oversee Changeover (CO) activities, utilizing SMED (Single-Minute Exchange of Die) principles to ensure rapid and accurate transitions between different product formulations.
• Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for mechanical breakdowns, contamination excursions, or batch deviations and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
Process Improvement & System Commissioning
• Plan and execute technical projects, such as the installation of improved mechanical seals, upgrading PLC/HMI interfaces, or commissioning new mixing units.
• Coordinate with OEMs and specialized contractors for vessel pressure testing (hydro-tests), valve calibrations, and the integration of new transfer piping.
• Ensure all maintenance and changeover projects are completed within budget, meet GMP/Hygienic Design codes, and align with plant OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) targets.
Consumables & Changeover Parts Management
• Track inventory for critical changeover parts (gaskets, seals, specialized valves) and PM consumables (food-grade lubricants, cleaning agents) to avoid operational delays.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of changeover kits, ensuring they are sanitized, labeled, and staged according to the production schedule.
Safety, GMP & Regulatory Compliance
• Enforce strict adherence to OSHA, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and machine safeguarding standards during all maintenance and changeover activities.
• Lead safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) for pressurized vessels and rotating machinery, and the proper handling of hazardous cleaning chemicals.
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for quality audits by providing PM logs, cleaning validation records, and equipment calibration documentation.
Technical Leadership & Coordination
• Coordinate with Production Planning and Filling departments to schedule PM windows and changeovers with minimal impact on total output.
• Mentor and train Junior Operators on machine assembly/disassembly, seal replacement, and the nuances of high-shear mixing to ensure total team competency
