Educational Requirements:
∎ B.Sc. in Agriculture/Fisheries/Livestock degree with 4 years' experience/ Diploma in Agriculture Science with 7 years of experience in the relevant field.

Job Context:
∎ GRAUS (Gram Unnayon Sangathon) is inviting application from qualified candidates for the position of Technical Officer (TO) for the project of "Partnership for the Resilient Livelihoods in CHT Regions (PRLC)". The (PRLC) is a four-year project led by Manusher Jonno Foundation (MJF) is aimed to contribute to poverty reduction and improving the livelihoods of the extremely poor households in the three Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) districts of Bangladesh. This initiative is supported by the EU and will benefit 20,000 households, and about 98,000 people in the Chittagong Hill Tracts. The outcomes of the project are: Outcome -1: Sustained livelihoods and income generation amongst the target households in the CHT districts. Outcome -2: Improved and sustained nutrition practices for a better and healthy lifestyle for the extremely poor households in CHT region and Outcome -3: Increased investment of resources by local communities and the Government aimed at the most vulnerable regions and population segments in the CHT districts.
∎ Objective of the position:
∎ This position shall provide technical support for his/her team, Farmer Facilitators and farmers at the community level. Besides, he/she also guidance and support to other results (Result-2 & 3) employees. And the position is based in Upazila.
∎ Reporting and Staff Supervision:
∎ The position shall report to the Project Coordinator and shall be responsible for supervising the entire team consisting of staff from diverse cultural background and ethnicity.
∎ Job Location: Lama Upazila, Bandarban Hill District

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Overall Duties and Responsibilities:
∎ S/he will work with under close guidance/supervision of Project Coordinator. S/he will develop the training plan for Farmer Facilitators as per project deliverables. S/he will arrange the training at the respective upazila and collect data from field, analyze and prepare report. S/he will monitor the organizer, Community Mobilizer and Farmer Facilitator (FF) at the community level.
∎ S/he will prepare and submit event reports to Project Coordinator in monthly, quarterly, half yearly and annually as per project implementation plan (PIP). S/he will prepare technical report and submit to respective organizational Project Coordinator as per PIP. S/he will assist to project coordinator on preparing monthly, quarterly, six monthly and annual report. S/he will assist to project coordinator on organize meeting, training, seminar and workshops.
∎ Key Duties and Responsibilities:
∎ CS-IFM-FFS Implementation:
∎ Provide all sorts of technical support to FF, CM, Organizer and beneficiary on livelihoods related interventions.
∎ Ensure materials and logistics are available to FFs for proper facilitation of FFS sessions;
∎ Establish linkages between service recipient and service providers and GoB line departments;
∎ Guide and facilitate the FFs & CM in access to farming inputs and marketing of farm outputs;
∎ Assist FFs in organizing Farmer Field Day, learning visit/exchange etc.
∎ Active participation in beneficiary selection process
∎ Coordination:
∎ Organize "Bimonthly FF Coordination Meeting" at upazila level and ensure participation of all relevant stakeholders in the meeting;
∎ Coordinate the FFS activities in the respective Upazila;
∎ Linkage with Upazila level GoB line departments of Agriculture Extension, Livestock Services and Fisheries including NGO and ensuring necessary supports to the field;
∎ Coordinate with Community Level Service Providers to ensure primary services for the FFS communities such as Community Livestock Workers, Community Aquaculture Resource Persons, Nursery Growers etc.;
∎ Coordinate PRLC project team members relating to the implementation of the project at respective Upazila;
∎ S/he will responsible for coordinate and assist to other results (Result-2 & 3)
∎ Monitoring and Reporting:
∎ Closely monitor the CM & FFS activities and ensure support them that includes overcome the problems in FFS organizing/facilitation, convey technical aspects in between MTs and FFs, monitor the performance of FFs;
∎ Monthly and quarterly report on the ongoing activities and ensure the progress been achieved as per plan;
∎ Overall responsible for good performance of FFs and ensure the implementation quality of CS-IFM FFS;
∎ Utilizing at least 80 % of working time for the field visits/field activities monitoring;
∎ All training related reports, evaluations, field observation reports with recommendations to management are produced on time and as required;
∎ Monitor the monthly progress of delivery and achievements in the assigned areas;

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 5 years working experience with NGOs or other development organizations with supervision of community/field facilitators.
∎ Supervising role in CS-IFM-FFS approach would be an added advantage.
∎ Must be willing and physically able to work in and travel frequently to difficult geographical and cultural environment;
∎ Prior experience of working in the CHT on similar field would be an added advantage and educational qualification may be relaxed for such candidates.
∎ Owning a valid driving license of motorcycle with ability to travel remote in CHT.
∎ Good in English (written and communication skills) and Excellent command of Bangla;
∎ Working knowledge on any of the CHT indigenous languages would be an added advantage.
∎ Working knowledge to operate computers specially with Windows operating system, MS office, internet and web browsing etc.;

Salary: Tk. 36000 (Monthly)
