Responsibilities & Context:

RHSTEP, a pioneer non-government organization with over three decades of experience in promoting Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) in Bangladesh, is launching the project "Unlocking Youth Potential for SRHR and Health System Reform in Bangladesh" to address critical gaps in adolescent health, SRHR, and health system equity. With operations in 20 districts and annual service provision to approximately 650,000 individuals through 27 centers, RHSTEP remains at the forefront of delivering essential SRHR services, education, and awareness.


About the Project:

The Unlocking Youth Potential Initiative is a dynamic, multi-year project designed to empower young people through skills development, digital literacy, and civic engagement. We leverage innovative multimedia and digital outreach strategies to connect with, inspire, and mobilize youth across [target region/country].

Role Summary:

We are seeking a creative, strategic, and digitally-savvy Communication Officer to lead our project's voice and visual identity. You will be the architect of our digital narrative, responsible for developing and executing comprehensive communication and social media strategies. Your core mission will be to engage youth audiences through powerful storytelling, compelling multimedia content, and innovative campaigns that resonate across digital platforms.

Job Responsibilities:

  • 1. Strategy & Brand Leadership:

    • Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive project communication and social media strategy aligned with organizational goals.

    • Define and enforce consistent branding, messaging, and visual identity across all communication channels and materials.

    • Monitor trends in youth digital culture and social media to adapt strategies for maximum impact and relevance.

    2. Social Media Management & Community Engagement:

    • Manage the day-to-day operations of all project social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter/X, TikTok).

    • Create, curate, and schedule engaging content that fosters interaction, dialogue, and community growth.

    • Actively engage with our online community, responding to comments and messages, and fostering a positive, inclusive digital space.

    3. Content Production & Campaign Coordination:

    • Lead the planning and coordination of multimedia content production, including videos, graphics, podcasts, blogs, and success stories.

    • Conceptualize and execute integrated digital campaigns to promote project activities, events, and key messages.

    • Work closely with program teams, partners, and youth contributors to source stories and co-create authentic content.

    4. Digital Storytelling & Audience Growth:

    • Employ innovative and youth-friendly digital formats (e.g., reels, shorts, live sessions, interactive posts) to tell compelling stories about our impact.

    • Analyze social media metrics and audience insights to evaluate performance, report on reach/engagement, and refine tactics for continuous improvement.

    • Ensure all communication is inclusive, accessible, and adheres to ethical storytelling practices.
