Job Responsibilities:
∎ Prepare yearly/quarterly/monthly work plan for the installation of WASH technologies for communities/schools/industries/healthcare facilities in consultation with Specialist - Technical and District Manager.
∎ Select appropriate technology and site at communities/schools/industries/healthcare facilities considering the geo-hydrological situation, climatic condition and disaster of the intervention areas, gender and inclusion etc. as well as proper consultation with the user’s group.
∎ Prepare detailed drawing and BoQ with specification of each of the components of the WASH facility in consultation with the Specialist, Technical.
∎ Maintain legal procedure of the organization for the procurement of materials/services with collection of tender and quotation of WASH facilities and construction materials purchase.
∎ Ensure quality of materials through proper inspection/checking of each materials, supervise installation of quality of WASH facilities and regularly document the progress for sharing with the concerned of the WASH team.
∎ Organize and conduct training/orientation for entrepreneurs/Mason and Sinker groups etc. on proper installation/construction of WASH facilities (safely managed as per SDG criteria) and sustainable O&M for caretakers, WASH committees, etc.
∎ Ensure the quality of water of the installed water supply technologies before using by the user community, take responsibility for collecting and testing with field kits as well as collection water properly and send it for laboratory test.
∎ Field visit in regular basis to follow up and monitor the functioning of WASH facilities and discuss the findings with the users group at sites as well as document for sharing with the concerned colleagues of WASH programme.
∎ Regularly collect technical information on WASH technologies, prepare report and share information with the concerned colleagues of WASH programme.
∎ Communication and coordination with different stakeholders such as DPHE, LGED, LGIs (Union Parishad, Pourashava), WASH Entrepreneurs, Sinker group/Mason, Suppliers, WASH Committees, Forums, etc.
∎ Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 18 years
∎ Excellent Technical knowledge in Water and Sanitation, installation of WASH technologies
∎ Good in Engineering Drawings
∎ Computer skill on MS, good communication skill on both Bangla and English
