Educational Requirements:
∎ At least 2-3 years of experience in working in the field of Maternal-Newborn and Reproductive Health and Family Planning - especially in relation to evaluating and assessing projects and programmes
∎ Advance university degrees, specially in Public Health and/or International Health, Development Studies, Sociology, Anthropology, Statistics and/or a related Social Sciences subject.
∎ Adhere to standards for ethical research and the protection of human subjects, including informed consent and maintenance of code of conduct
∎ Coordinating work with interviewers, supervisors have a strong sense of teamwork. They work efficiently in high-volume and fast-paced environments. Employers typically look for those with three to four years of experience in addition to the following skills:
∎ Leadership skills -supervisors are comfortable managing others and overseeing their work and able to elicit information without leading the interviewee
∎ Date processing and reporting experience - to understand the data entry process, entering information and ensuring accuracy and organization
∎ Time management skills - to manage large volumes of work in a timely manner and to prioritize their time to meet deadlines
∎ Computer proficiency - to perform data entry tasks using SPSS, Excel, Word and databases

Job Context:
∎ With the support of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW), Mamota project has been working to improve the health and family planning situation at selected upazilas in Sylhet district. The project supports for increasing access to quality health and family planning services. The project is funded by Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) through Save the Children Korea and implemented by Friends In Village Development Bangladesh (FIVDB). The project are going to conduct midterm study in selected upazilas of Sylhet.
∎ The supervisors are responsible for carrying out the supervising data collectors/interviewers with selected mother, women of reproductive age, local govt. representatives etc. at different upazilas under Sylhet and perform numerous of task which will required within study. His responsibility is to ensure collecting accurate and qualitative data, data entry on the paper or in the computer base tools by subordinates or him. His responsibility is to check all the interviewers that are under his supervision. Strong communication skills are necessary in this collaborative role.
∎ Duration : Part time. Approximately one month

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Introduce the survey and interviewers in the communities and households where the survey is administered
∎ Contact local H&FP departments, LGs administrators and explain the survey objectives to get permission for data collection, if necessary
∎ Coordinate with the Mamota team on how to carry out the survey and to report daily work and progress
∎ Ensure adherence to the code of conduct (attached)
∎ Review questionnaires and check that it has been correctly filled in
∎ Prepared relevant tools and ensure accurate data entry
∎ Assign HHs to interviewers
∎ Monitor and attend some interviews and make comments on the interviewer's performance
∎ Meet frequently with each member of the group to discuss, improve and organize work
∎ Help interviewers to solve the problems they encounter in dealing with respondents who are not responsive to questions or refuse to be interviewed
∎ Manage the team's work schedule, including tracking questionnaires completed in the field,
∎ Check that material to carry out the survey is sufficient and appropriate;
∎ Double check and revise the survey at the end of the survey in order to correct mistakes and sign off on completed study as verification of the accuracy of the survey;
∎ Ensure questionnaires are correctly completed and monitor data quality
∎ Resolve any problems
∎ Monitor data collection process to ensure field manual protocols and procedures are being followed, provide guidance to interviewers
∎ Troubleshot and send data to project office
∎ Provide logistical guidance in field for data collection team, including KII and FGDs
∎ Organize and conduct KII and FGDs with selected mother, husband, in laws, stakeholders etc.
∎ Ensure all completed questionnaires and tapes are collected and properly labeled and stored
∎ Assign and document questionnaire tracking numbers
∎ Review of all completed questionnaires to ensure clarity and accuracy
∎ Participate actively in data collection alongside the field team workers

Additional Requirements:
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Demonstrated experience in working on and/or producing documents on Health and Family Planning issues will be an added advantage
∎ Demonstrated experiences on qualitative and quantitative studies with statistical analysis
∎ Advance knowledge on SPSS, MS Excel and Word
∎ Fluency in written and spoken English and Bangla. Understanding on Sylheti language will be added advantage.
∎ No history of violation of child rights, child abuse

Salary:
∎ Negotiable
∎ The selected candidate will be paid a handsome amount of money excluding transportation and mobile bills
