Experience:
Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Development Studies/Social Science/ Information Management/ Disaster Management, or any relevant discipline from a recognized university.
Additional training/certification in Knowledge Management, Monitoring & Evaluation, Data Analytics, Research Methodology, or Digital Information Management will be an added advantage.
Experience Requirement:
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in knowledge management, research, information management, communication, monitoring and evaluation, or programme learning within NGO/INGO, humanitarian response, disaster management, or development sectors.
Experience in knowledge product development, data analysis, documentation, research, learning events, and information management systems.
Experience working with donor-funded projects, emergency response programmes, and multi-stakeholder coordination will be preferred.
Additional Job Requirements:
Knowledge of knowledge management systems, research methodologies, information management, and organizational learning approaches.
Understanding of humanitarian response, disaster management, and development programme implementation.

Disaster Risk Management Programme (DRMP) with an aim to strengthen community resilience through disaster risk reduction and preparedness along with emergency response and recovery actions. About the Project: Support for the Flash Flood-Affected People in Chattogram Division, under Disaster Risk Management Programme (DRMP).

Job Purpose: The Deputy Manager, Knowledge Management will be responsible for developing, managing, and strengthening knowledge management systems to support effective learning, documentation, and evidence-based decision-making for the Emergency Flood Response Project. S/he will lead the collection, analysis, and dissemination of project information, best practices, lessons learned, case studies, and success stories to enhance programme quality and visibility. The position will support the project team in establishing effective documentation, reporting, communication, and knowledge-sharing mechanisms aligned with BRAC and donor requirements. S/he will coordinate with field teams and relevant stakeholders to capture project outcomes, innovations, and community-level impacts. The role will contribute to organizational learning, adaptive management, and continuous improvement of emergency response interventions through effective knowledge generation and sharing.
Job Description:
Develop and implement research and innovation initiatives to improve project efficiency through effective use of information systems, data-driven approaches, and knowledge management practices.
Establish and manage information and knowledge-sharing platforms to promote learning through communication channels, workshops, events, online/offline media, social media, community forums, and e-learning platforms.
Coordinate database management, data analysis, visualization, and development of knowledge products to support evidence-based decision-making, proposals, reporting, and learning events.
Collaborate with project teams, particularly field response teams, to ensure effective information flow, timely identification of emerging needs, and documentation of community risks and project outcomes.
Lead the documentation, analysis, and dissemination of best practices, lessons learned, innovations, and success stories in collaboration with communication and advocacy teams.
Develop and maintain standardized methodologies, tools, and processes for data collection, information management, knowledge generation, and dissemination within and outside the organization.
Facilitate knowledge exchange and collaboration with internal teams, external stakeholders, research institutions, and knowledge-based networks to enhance learning and innovation.
Build and maintain professional networks with knowledge platforms, forums, and relevant organizations to promote partnership, learning, and sharing of humanitarian response knowledge.
SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme`s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
