Experience:
Master's degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Disability Studies, B.Sc in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech and Language Therapy or any relevant discipline
Demonstrable experience in disability inclusive DRR, CCA as well as working with Organisations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs), Self-help groups and Apex bodies
Strong understanding of disability rights frameworks, including CRPD, SDGs and national disability laws of Bangladesh·
Familiarity with the local context of Dacope or Koyra Upazila is an advantage.

Reporting to

Community mobilization and group formation
Form and support SHGs and Apex Bodies at community level
Co-facilitate awareness sessions on DRR, climate change impacts, adaptation and disability inclusion.
Supervise and support 5 (five) Community Facilitators delivering community animation activities across assigned wards.
Risk assessment and planning
Conduct or update disability inclusive, gender responsive Community Risk Assessments (CRA) at community level.
Collect and disseminate disability disaggregated data on risk information.
Prepare the inclusive Risk Reduction Action Plan (RRAP) for the Union.
Disaster preparedness and response
Organize mock drills on DRR, emergency response, Early Warning Systems, and safe evacuation, engaging schools and CPP volunteers.
Facilitate training for CPP volunteers and community members on disability inclusive emergency response, first aid, and search and rescue.
Distribute emergency preparedness equipment to identified households.
Coordinate with the Livelihood Officer to ensure disability inclusive participation, accessibility, and reasonable accommodation in livelihoods training, asset and cash transfer, and market linkage activities.
Capacity Building
Facilitate training on advocacy, leadership, and networking, and legal frameworks (Rights and Protection Act 2013, SOD, Disaster Management Act 2012) and life skills training for persons with disabilities.
Facilitate psychosocial support (PSS) training for community school teachers and service providers, including DMC and CPP members and health service providers.
Identify potential participants for IDRR tools orientation and deliver ToT sessions at community level.
Coordinate with the community network of IDRR tools practitioners and facilitate quarterly and yearly knowledge exchange sessions.
Advocacy and Engagement with stakeholders
Facilitate bi-monthly DMC meetings on DIDRR, climate adaptation, social protection, and linkage with social protection programs, plans and entitlements.
Organize quarterly sub-district level meetings with local leaders, networking organizations, UzDMC members, and representatives of persons with disabilities.
Coordinate with local WDMCs, UDMCs, and Upazila DMCs for creating linkages with SHGs
Collaborate with Caritas Bangladesh's project team for efficient implementation of project activities.
Safeguarding and PSEA
Apply safeguarding and PSEA standards in all field activities and community engagements, in line with Access Bangladesh's Code of Conduct.
Ensure reasonable accommodation and accessibility for all project participants.
Raise safeguarding concerns through Access Bangladesh's safeguarding reporting mechanism and build community awareness of the Inclusive Complaint Feedback Mechanism (ICFM).
Demonstrate self-awareness and maintain professional conduct in accordance with Caritas Bangladesh's Code of Conduct, Safeguarding, and related organizational policies.
Promote a gender-sensitive, disability-inclusive, and rights-based approach throughout all stages of project implementation.
Comply with and promote safeguarding principles, including the Prevention of Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment (PSEAH), and ensure the dignity, safety, and well-being of all participants.
Promptly report any safeguarding concerns or incidents through the appropriate organizational reporting mechanisms and support appropriate follow-up actions.
MEAL and reporting
Collect field data for the project's MEAL system and Inclusive Complaint Feedback Mechanism (ICFM).
Document case stories, photos, and field learning for project knowledge products.
Maintain accurate, disability disaggregated records of participants and activities.
Submit regular field reports to the Technical Coordinator.Collect, verify, and submit timely and accurate field data in accordance with the project Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) framework.
Support the implementation of the Inclusive Complaint and Feedback Mechanism (ICFM) by facilitating access to complaint and feedback channels, documenting cases, and ensuring timely referral and follow-up in line with organizational procedures.
Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and disability-, age-, and sex-disaggregated records of project participants, activities, and outputs.
Document case studies, success stories, lessons learned, good practices, photographs, and other evidence to support project reporting, learning, and knowledge management.
Assist in conducting monitoring visits, beneficiary verification, and other MEAL-related activities, as required.
Ensure the quality, completeness, and confidentiality of project data in compliance with organizational data protection and safeguarding policies.
Prepare and submit regular field progress reports, activity/event reports, and other required documentation to the Technical Coordinator in a timely manner.
Support the compilation of project reports by providing accurate field information, evidence, and documentation.
