Experience

  • Minimum 7 years of professional experience including 3 years relevant experience in the development organization, preferably in skills development, capacity-building programs employment generation and job placement.
  • Only full-time work experience gained after completion of a Bachelor's or Master's degree shall be considered for eligibility.
  • Experience in employment support, training facilitation, career services, Project Management/ Entrepreneurship Development/ Pedagogy Training.
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have prior experience working with key stakeholders in the skills development and apprenticeship sector, including BTEB, NSDA and relevant private sector actors.
  • Experience in implementing or managing national or large-scale apprenticeship or work-based learning programs will be considered an added advantage.
  • Preference shall be given to individuals with prior experience in working under PKSF's RAISE
  • Project, along with demonstrated skills, professional competence, and a strong reputation.

Others

  • Proficient in MS Office package.
  • Excellent Communication skills both in English and Bangla.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, team player and passion for social development works.
  • Ability and willingness to travel frequently at project sites (Extensive Field visit is required across the Project sites).


Responsibilities & Context:

Job Context:

Friends In Village Development Bangladesh (FIVDB) is going to implement Transforming Lives Through Nutrition (TLTN) project with support from Helen Keller Intl (HKI). The goal of the Transforming Lives Through Nutrition initiative is to improve maternal and child health, through the delivery of proven nutrition interventions and to strengthen health and food systems at scale by putting women and children at the center. For implementation of the goal, the Project will focus in Sunamganj Sadar, Chhatak & Jagannathpur Upazila of Sunamganj District and Slum area of Dhaka North City Corporation. The present project nature is up to June 30, 2027, and the job is contractual for the project period.

Job Summary:

The Project Officer will be responsible for the overall implementation of project activities in the assigned Upazila in accordance with the approved work plan. This is a field-oriented position that requires regular field visits, close coordination with stakeholders, and continuous monitoring of project activities to ensure timely and effective implementation. Under the guidance of the Project Coordinator, s/he will work closely with government health and family planning service providers, frontline supervisors, field facilitators and volunteers, as well as s/he will provide adequate facilitation support, supportive supervision, monitoring, and mentoring to the Field Facilitator(s) and volunteers for smooth and timely implementation of project activities.

Responsibilities & Tasks:

  • Plan, implement, and monitor the project activities in the respective Upazila as per the guidance of the Project Coordinator.

  • Maintain strong communication and coordination with the government and other relevant stakeholders.

  • Participate in coordination meetings, including NGO coordination / UDCC / UNCC / Health / FP / CHCP, update progress, and represent the project team.

  • Coordinate and supervise field-level implementation of project activities in assigned areas.

  • Support Community Nutrition Promoters (CNPs), Field Facilitators, and frontline workers to deliver planned interventions.

  • Prepare project activity progress reports and ensure timely submissions to the respective superviser.

  • Guide and mentor field facilitators and volunteers to ensure quality implementation of project activities.

  • Adopt and execute new initiatives in the respective Upazila in the context of geographical dynamics, innovation, action research, documentation, and learning.

  • Implement the project activities in a cost-effective manner, within the budget framework, record keeping and monitoring project activities, and providing feedback to the project team and management.

  • Facilitate the requirement process of volunteers with guidance from project management and ensure their capacity building through formal and informal training, mentoring, and supportive supervision.

  • Conduct regular monitoring and data collection as well as support in case studies and experience capitalization of the project.

  • Promote and practice a culture of reviewing findings from the monitoring visits and executing the actions for qualitative improvements of interventions.

  • Document innovations, case studies, and other pilot initiatives as guided by the Project Coordinator.

  • Documentation and preservation of project-related records as per MEL plan and DQA standard.

  • Ensure data quality and completeness in a timely manner according to project/donor guidelines, including quality reporting.

  • Share and execute management directions of the project to all staff and volunteers.

  • Adopt and execute new initiatives undertaken by the project in areas of health and family planning, nutrition governance, climate-smart, and nutrition value chain agriculture.

  • Promote Equitable, women-friendly, gender-sensitive work environment and practices among team members.

  • Conduct / perform any other responsibility when asked by the reportable person for the interest of the Program.
