Additional Requirements:
  • Age 22 to 32 years
  • Good oral and written communication skills in English and Bengali; fluency in Chittagonian dialect highly preferable.

  • Sound knowledge of the national curriculum and education system.

  • Ability to build rapport with learners, caregivers, and community stakeholders.

  • Willingness to work on an emergency basis when required.



Responsibilities & Context:

Key Area 1: Core Teaching & Facilitation

  • Facilitate Multi-Purpose Center (MPC) activities and conduct Psychosocial Support (PSS), awareness, and community engagement sessions.

  • Implement the I Support My Friend (ISMF) initiative at community level, including inception meetings and training of adolescents.

  • Engage men and boys in GBV prevention and response through regular orientation and bi-weekly sessions.

  • Organize and support community awareness campaigns, observance days, and behavior change activities related to Child Protection (CP) and Gender-Based Violence (GBV), including Interactive Popular Theatre (IPT) and puppet shows.

  • Support the distribution of humanitarian assistance, including Dignity Kits, Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) Kits, and other relief items.

  • Assist in delivering Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Climate Resilience training for community leaders and volunteers.

  • Conduct Parenting and Adolescent Life Skills (PALS) sessions for parents and adolescents as per project guidelines.

  • Support the formation, reformation, capacity building, and regular functioning of Community Based Child Protection Committees (CBCPCs), including meetings and member training.

  • Maintain regular communication with CBCPC members and facilitate their participation in child protection activities.

  • Conduct child protection risk mapping and assist communities in developing prevention, response, and referral action plans.

  • Carry out regular field visits to identify child protection concerns, assess community needs, and support appropriate interventions.

  • Raise awareness on child protection issues, including child abuse, child marriage, child trafficking, neglect, exploitation, and other safeguarding concerns.

  • Identify vulnerable children and facilitate referral and linkage with relevant services, including case management support.

  • Organize community meetings, group sessions, and youth engagement activities to strengthen community participation and protection mechanisms.

  • Build and maintain effective relationships with community members, beneficiaries, local leaders, government authorities, NGOs, and other stakeholders.

  • Support Education, Case Management, and other project teams in implementing program activities when required.

  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly activity reports to the supervisor.

  • Communicate effectively in English and Bengali (Chittagonian dialect highly preferable) – essential.

  • Report any violation of child safeguarding and PSEA policies of FIVDB.

  • Work on an emergency basis during emergencies and when necessary.

  • Maintain FIVDB and donor policies at all times.

  • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor in support of project objectives.

Key Area 2: Coordination & Relationship Building

  • Maintain frequent communication with project personnel, including supervisor(s).

  • Build strong rapport with learners and community members.

Key Area 3: Documentation

  • Maintain registers, Activity Trackers and hard copies with full details (enrollment, attendance, visits, home visits, stock registers, etc.).

  • During emergencies, manage day-to-day activities remotely and follow up via SMS/phone call/WhatsApp group.

  • Maintain confidentiality at all times.

  • Submit case stories every month.

Key Area 4: Planning

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly plans and submit them to the supervisor(s) regularly.
