Project Brief: In partnership with Educate A Child (EAC) under the Education Above All (EAA) Foundation, BRAC is implementing a four-year project, "Inclusive Pathways for Learning and Resilience in Bangladesh," which is dedicated to reintegrating 76,000 out-of-school children across 12 districts in Bangladesh into the mainstream education system. By utilizing an accelerated primary learning model, the project prioritizes girls and children with disabilities in high-dropout, high-poverty, climate-vulnerable areas, addressing the root causes of exclusion through a holistic approach. This strategy integrates foundational education with essential health services, including nutrition, vision, and hygiene support, while empowering 15,000 youth to spearhead climate resilience actions. Together, these efforts create a community-driven ecosystem that ensures the next generation can recover their education and lead their communities toward a more sustainable and resilient future.
Job purpose: This position is responsible for providing effective supervision and guidance to Programme Organisers to ensure the quality implementation of education programmes for the OOSC and engaging youths for climate actions. The role aims to monitor field activities through extensive and frequent travel to various upazilas, including strengthen teaching-learning practices, ensure compliance with programme guidelines, and coordinate with communities and stakeholders to achieve programme targets and improve learning.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and guide Programme Organisers to ensure effective implementation of programme activities and adherence to organisational guidelines.
Monitor and evaluate field operations, including Resource Centre/BRAC School activities, enrollment, attendance, and overall programme performance.
Ensure quality education services by supporting Programme Organisers in mentoring teachers/caregivers and promoting effective teaching-learning practices.
Review all reports and documentation submitted by Programme Organisers and provide feedback for improvement and compliance.
Coordinate training, refresher sessions, and capacity-building initiatives for Programme Organisers, teachers, and other relevant stakeholders.
Maintain effective liaison with community members, parents, government authorities, NGOs, and other stakeholders to support smooth programme implementation.
Supervise and guide Programme Organisers to ensure effective implementation of programme activities and adherence to organisational guidelines.
Monitor and evaluate field operations, including Resource Centre/BRAC School activities, enrollment, attendance, and overall programme performance.
Safeguarding responsibilities:
Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme`s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
