Experience:
Masters preferably in relevant subject areas Social Sciences, Development Studies, specifically Sociology & Policy, Human Rights Economy or a related discipline. Experience in the sector will also be considered highly.
Experience:
At least 3-5 years or more of sound experience in research work.·
Extensive hands on experience in implementing strategies and knowledge of research methodologies.·
Extensive experience of working with NGOs and CSOs is preferred. Experience with Community based and/or volunteer organizations is an advantage.·
Excellent knowledge of report writing & other documentations.·
Good facilitation skills and knowledge and experience in participatory planning and TOF.
Required Competencies:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools for research·
Language Skills
Fluency in English (Written & spoken)·
Good team building capacity and decision making skills.·
Good interpersonal communication and leadership skill within the organizational Desk management. Age limits: ·

Job Summary:
The Manager (SRPD) is a position in CDA to ensure social Research as a Department and mobilizes social research initiatives, picking up & wrap-up the excluded and unheard learning, and pick up the innovation & issues. The Manager is responsible for investigating social issues through research, using various methodologies to gather and analyze data, with a focus on participatory, bottom-up approaches towards policy enhancement. The Manager (SRPD) works to strengthen the organization’s capacity in social research, planning, process and policy analysis, and for advocacy, achieving the goal oriented policy reform or reformulation fostering with people’s participation, and promoting inclusive local resource based governance. Social research findings and evidence-based learning will be utilized to inform policy, test a refine existing strategies, enhance understanding of social dynamics, design studies, and communicate results to diverse audiences toward transformative solutions for the violation of the fundamental Human Rights.
Key responsibilities include (not limited to):
Planning, Social Research, & Policy Analysis:
· Prepare individual work plan and action plan.
· Assist to prepare work plan and action plan of departmental staff.
· Design and conduct qualitative and quantitative research, collect data, gather information through various methods, and analyse findings to prepare comprehensive reports.
· Develop and articulate a forward looking research vision (guideline and strategy) that support organization’s strategic goals and objectives setting out the Theory of Change.
· Establish a comprehensive research strategy that aligns with CDA’s mission and leverages culture-edge technologies to deliver transformative solutions.
· Contribute to the development of organizational annual plans, strategic plan, and project plans in collaboration with department heads and teams.
· Contribute to policy review and formulation, and actionable recommendations using participatory Action Research approaches aligned with CDA’s vision & strategies.
Advocacy:
· Assist in the development of CDA’s advocacy plan, aligning with organizational goals and strategic priorities.
· Support the implementation of CDA’s advocacy initiatives and events in collaboration with partner networks and stakeholders, to advance CDA’s contextual priorities and the interests of its beneficiaries.
· Represent CDA in policy and advocacy forums at various levels (national, international or partner networks level).
Reporting, Documentation and Publication
· Assist in the preparation and drafting and editing of reports, including donor annual report and the organization’s annual report, strategic plan report, etc.
· Contribute to prepare and publish thematic reports, research findings, advocacy documents, and policy briefs for internal and external stakeholders.
· Support the project team to document lessons learned, success stories, process documentation and program outputs for internal learning and external sharing.
· Contribute to develop knowledge management and documentation systems, and support the team to ensure both digital and hard-copy records are organized and accessible.
Management, Training, Meeting & Workshop
· Provide leadership to empower the research team to explore new frontiers and translate insights into actionable outcomes.
· Coach and mentor CDA’s staff members to promote reflective practice and continuous learning.
· Identify training needs, recommend improvements, and support staff development.
· Support the training team in developing training materials and modules.
· Work with program managers and department leads to integrate research and training with organizational initiatives.
· Facilitate and participate in monthly and fortnightly staff coordination meetings, coordination and planning meetings, contributing to discussions and decision-making processes.
· Participate in the trainings, and workshops both within CDA and with external stakeholders.
Monitoring and Evaluation
· Coordinate internal and external evaluations, including TOR preparation and oversight of external evaluators.
· Identify and compile policy issues relevant to the local context, and analyze program performance data, identify gaps, trends, community needs, and program impact and recommend improvements.
· Visit community-based groups and tiers to validate findings and ensure grassroots voices inform policy.
Fund Raising & Communication
· Contribute to the development of funding proposals and concept notes in alignment with CDA’s vision, and conduct regular contextual needs analyses.
· Write up & present concept notes and proposals to donors and relevant stakeholders with the approval of the Executive Director.
Special Assignments:
· Undertake any emergency or special assignments of the organization as directed by the Executive Director.
Type of contract : As full time core staff
Duration of Contract : Year wise renewal
Salary and benefits : Salary @BDT 43,000 for 6 months’ probation period. After successful completion of probation period, job and salary will be regularized with PF, Gratuity & others as per Organizational policy.
