Education:
  • MBBS degree holder from a recognized medical institution.

  • Prior clinical experience in Medicine, Surgery, or Gynecology is highly preferred.

  • 2 years’ experience in the Health project or programme or Health Care services is mandatory will get preference.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Evaluate patients and provide appropriate primary healthcare services including diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of the patients, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and quality standards. Make sure the appropriate utilization of Primary Healthcare Center activities for 6(six) days in a week with ensuring client rights.

  • Order and carry out appropriate tests, assess the quality of pathological investigation. 

  • Maintain regular coordination with the related Government, Local Govt., Professional bodies/ agencies, National & International organizations for smooth and effective implementation of the project activities.

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of Urban PHC; ensure cleanliness, safety & functionality of the centres and its equipment.

  • Supervise the technical team- paramedics, ophthalmic assistant, field assistant. And support all technical training, arrange regular refresher training for technical staff.

  • Support to increase Family planning and EPI activity with proper counselling.

  • Ensure the quality of Urban PHC (IP.Autoclave & waste management) by regular monitoring & supervision after providing the patient services and also give feedback to related staff to minimize the problem.

  • Monitor and maintain adequate stock levels of medicine, medical & administrative supplies and equipment. 

  • Compile and submit regular monthly/quarterly reports as required by the projects, use data to analyze trends and improve service quality.

  • Use digital platform for documentation and regularly follow up with other staff for proper record keeping, stock management, drug and reagent management.

  • Monitor centre-level expenses and maintain financial records in line with budgetary guidelines; regular coordination with Upazilla accounts officer for proper monitoring of all transaction.

  • Documentation of all patient evaluations, treatments, medications and transactions according to BRAC policies and procedures.

  • Represents BRAC and programmes in different networks and alliances as appropriate. Also attend head office/ regional meetings and participants in the discussions, give technical clarifications on agenda items related to the programme.

  • Analyse all performance reports of Urban PHC and review the progress reports & provide feedback to the team members as appropriate.

  • Coordination with the assigned area manager and divisional manager to streamline the PHC with other PHCs and improve facility performance.

  • Perform any other tasks, responsibilities and assignments as and when necessary or determined by higher authority/supervisor.

SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action. 

  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
