Responsibilities & Context:

Job Context:

Friends In Village Development Bangladesh (FIVDB) is going to implement Transforming Lives Through Nutrition project with support from Helen Keller Intl . The goal of the Transforming Lives Through Nutrition initiative is to improve maternal and child health, through the delivery of proven nutrition interventions and to strengthen health and food systems at scale by putting women and children at the center. For implementation of the goal, the Project will focus in Sunamganj Sadar, Chhatak & Jagannathpur Upazila of Sunamganj District and Slum area of Dhaka North City Corporation. The present project nature is up to June 30, 2027, and the job is contractual for the project period.

Job Summary:

The Field Facilitator will be responsible for the overall implementation of the project activities in the assigned Unions accordance with the approved work plan. Under the guidance of the Project Officer, s/he will work closely with government health and family planning frontline service providers, frontline supervisors, Sub-assistant agriculture officer (SAAO) and veterinary field assistant (VFA) for timely and quality implementation of planned activities.

Responsibilities & Tasks:

  • Mobilize community members on health, nutrition, and hygiene practices, especially targeting mothers, caregivers, and children.

  • Support and monitoring Community Nutrition Promotors (CNPs) to deliver nutrition services at the household and community level.

  • Facilitate courtyard sessions, cooking demonstrations, and community awareness events.

  • Conduct Supportive Supervision, feedback, follow-up to CNPs in all community level activities.

  • Conduct household visits for screening malnourished children and provide referrals to health facilities.

  • Monitor the regular attendance and engagement of beneficiaries in nutrition activities.

  • Provide technical support on homestead gardening, poultry rearing to beneficiaries.

  • Support the capacity-building efforts of CNPs through on-the-job coaching.

  • Collect and maintain accurate field data and documentation, including beneficiary tracking and session reports.

  • Submit weekly/monthly activity reports to the supervisor in the prescribed format.

    Ensure that gender, child protection, and safeguarding principles are upheld in all field activities.

  • Assist with other project-related tasks as assigned by the supervisor or project team.

  • Ensure proper maintenance and documentation of volunteers' work schedules, timesheets, leave, and payments.

  • Promote an equitable, women-friendly, gender-sensitive work environment.

  • Guide volunteers to ensure quality implementation of project activities through providing supportive supervision, on-the-job training, and demonstration.

  • Facilitate field visits conducted by any FIVDB-HKI team or donor.

  • Support data collection (Paper-based and online) as per project need.

  • Ensure proper record keeping and registration of project participants, required services, and follow-up.

  • Documentation and preservation of disaggregated intervention records as per MEL plan and DQA standard.
