Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering / Industrial Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Business Administration or relevant discipline, Master’s degree / MBA will be considered an advantage
To supervise shift-wise laboratory operations, ensuring all physical and chemical testing of textiles (fiber, yarn, or fabric) meets international standards and customer specifications, while managing a team of junior technicians to maintain laboratory efficiency.

Key Responsibilities-
Technical Operations
Testing & Analysis: Perform and oversee complex tests such as colorfastness pilling resistance, tensile strength, shrinkage, and GSM checks.
Recipe Development: For yarn dyeing labs, manage the preparation of lab dips and ensure the accuracy of "first-time-right" recipes before they go to bulk production.
Data Validation: Review and approve test reports generated during the shift, ensuring all data is recorded accurately in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
Leadership & Shift Management
Workforce Supervision: Allocate tasks to junior technicians and lab assistants; monitor their performance and provide on-the-spot training.
Shift Handover: Conduct smooth transitions between shifts, documenting any pending samples, machine issues, or urgent priority lots.
Troubleshooting: Address immediate technical discrepancies in the lab and coordinate with the production floor if a quality deviation is detected.
Compliance & Maintenance
Calibration: Ensure all lab equipment is calibrated and functioning within tolerance limits.
Chemical Management: Supervise the inventory of lab chemicals and dyes, ensuring proper storage according to Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
Audit Readiness: Maintain clean and organized workstations in compliance with ISO 17025, GRS, or specific buyer standards (e.g., JCPenney, H&M, Inditex).
