- A minimum of 4 years’ working experience in Sponsorship program, especially on humanitarian/charity fund and/or working on Communication or related areas with NGOs/INGOs.
Language:
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in the English language, both written and oral.

- Thorough understanding of humanitarian/emergency issues and contexts.
Additional details:
- Health insurance will be provided as per the MHIBD policy.
- 50% Field visit required for the position holder.
Responsibilities & Context: Muslim Hands International is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing humanitarian aid and sustainable development projects to the communities in need around the world. The sponsorship programs offered by Muslim Hands, disadvantaged children receive the attention and assistance they require to not only survive but also flourish throughout their early years. The Sponsorship and Communications Officer`s main responsibilities are to support the sponsorship unit, along with implementing sponsor-related initiatives under the supervision of the Programme Coordinator.
Job Responsibilities:
Sponsorship:
- To identify and select Registered Beneficiaries (RB) in the MHIBD working area, as well as to work with the Supervisor to ensure that the appropriate RB data is prepared.
- Upholds strong relations with the community and the beneficiaries who are registered.
- Provides administrative, secretarial and clerical support on all matters pertaining to the upkeep and supervision of sponsored beneficiaries.
- Establish specific criteria for issues pertaining to sponsorship policies and guidelines.
- Timely submission of all RB correspondence.
- Ensure timely collection of required contents, soft stories, facts and figures, gift fund reports, case studies, and annual reports for the funding affiliates.
- Prompt distribution of reports and information to the supervisors as needed.
- Prepared swiftly completion and mailing of Festivals greetings to beneficiaries and accurately completed Progress Reports (PR), Case Studies, Success Stories, Feedback Reports on sponsored beneficiaries.
- Assists in the preparation of narrative and statistical reports on the sponsorship program/ project on a monthly and annual basis.
- Support to the Sponsorship team with any beneficiary information that they may require.
- Performs other similar sponsor relations’ services as by the sponsorship team.
- Develop and oversee community sponsorship orientation sessions and ongoing training programs to support the program.
- To identify the requirements and issues of the community by means of effective communication with like-minded non-governmental and government organizations at the community and district levels.
- To assist the Sponsorship team to develop the Project Proposal (PP), Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), Memorandum of Agreement (MoA), Concept Paper/Note (CP/CN) and other relevant agreement papers that are related to the Sponsorship Program/ Projects.
- To collaborate closely with partner organizations on the sponsorship project`s development, implementation, monitoring (both project- and financial) and assessment to the sponsorship program/ projects.
- Work closely with the programme coordinator to set the implementation plan and phase-out plan (if needed) as well.
- Coordinate sponsorship data management for smooth dispatching of required material to donors.
- Ensure smooth functioning and usage of the sponsorship information systems and proper documentation. Do data entry into organizational systems regularly.
- Respond to child violence cases and support the safeguarding focal point in mobilizing existing protection mechanisms and referral pathways.
- Ensure a safe environment for all children by following SOPs, MOVs and other guidelines.
- Overall responsible for the monitoring of child safety, leadership, and integrated development project activities implemented by Muslim Hands International, ensuring that services are delivered on time, on budget, and in compliance with donor guidelines.
- Keep files safe and locked following policy & procedure. Preserve all sponsorship documents, reports and Correspondence register/record properly.
- Assist in other program activities as required.
Communication
- Collaborate with Programme team to develop and implement an effective communications strategy based on our target audiences.
- Takes the lead in organizing media outreach, arranges all media contacts, press briefings and interviews.
- Provides talking points and other materials as needed for senior staff and responds to media inquiries quickly and effectively.
- Oversees the development of an extensive array of information products, including audio and video communications.
- Plans and oversees the upkeep of information resources that are available to the public, as well as accessible information networks.
- Content such as publications, press releases, website content, yearly reports, speeches, and other promotional and programming materials that convey the organization`s services and operations should be written, developed, edited and distributed.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with media representatives and other relevant stakeholders.
- Explore opportunities to strengthen the organizational brand reputation and organize promotional events as required.
- Keep track of all media coverage and compile metrics and analytics.
- Handle disputes as they arise and report them to the supervisor.
