Responsibilities & Context:
Job Responsibilities for Apparel Sourcing Merchandiser:
Identifying & Selecting Suppliers
Finding, Evaluating & Engaging the suppliers aimed at purchasing the desired items at a reasonable cost & organizational standard
Data gathering & analyzing supplier proposals
Overall negotiating prices, agreeing on contracts, and managing supplier relationships to ensure the timely delivery of quality goods and services.
Negotiation & supplier selection & gives visibility into pricing and forecasting
Minimizing supply risks with improved supplier selection
To research the competitors, customer base, and potential suppliers to gather the necessary information
To source in an ethical, environmentally sustainable and socially conscious way
Engaged strategic sourcing as creating a proactive, holistic, and ongoing evaluation and re-evaluation of an organization`s sourcing activities
Ensuring the quality and service level businesses get reliable, affordable, and high-quality products from suppliers
Overall coordination with merchandising head, sourcing head, fabric department and suppliers
Others as per business requirement.
