Job Responsibilities for Apparel Sourcing Merchandiser:

• Identifying & Selecting Suppliers

• Finding, Evaluating & Engaging the suppliers aimed at purchasing the desired items at a reasonable cost & organizational standard

• Data gathering & analyzing supplier proposals

• Overall negotiating prices, agreeing on contracts, and managing supplier relationships to ensure the timely delivery of quality goods and services.

• Negotiation & supplier selection & gives visibility into pricing and forecasting

• Minimizing supply risks with improved supplier selection

• To research the competitors, customer base, and potential suppliers to gather the necessary information

• To source in an ethical, environmentally sustainable and socially conscious way

• Engaged strategic sourcing as creating a proactive, holistic, and ongoing evaluation and re-evaluation of an organization`s sourcing activities

• Ensuring the quality and service level businesses get reliable, affordable, and high-quality products from suppliers

• Overall coordination with merchandising head, sourcing head, fabric department and suppliers

• Others as per business requirement.
