Job Context:
∎ UCL is looking for a Software Engineer to develop and maintain new and existing software and databases of the company. The ideal candidate should be able to diagnose and resolve problems/bugs in the software quickly. He/she should also have the patience to communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and users.
∎ Job Location: Head Office
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Determines operational feasibility by evaluating problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
∎ Develops software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development lifecycle.
∎ Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.
∎ Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
∎ Improves operations by conducting systems analysis; recommending changes in policies and procedures.
∎ Obtains and licenses software by obtaining required information from vendors; recommending purchases; testing and approving products.
∎ Updates job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
∎ Working experience in C, C++, C#, Asp.net, MVC, Web Forms, Web Service, Crystal Reports, word-press.
∎ Working experience in Javascript, Jquery, Angular JS, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap etc.
∎ Solid understanding of Design Patterns and Frameworks.
∎ Should have Sound knowledge of relational databases, SQL and Oracle.
∎ Migration of data from one system into another.
∎ Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems.
∎ Integrate software components into a fully functional software system.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum of 3 to 5 years as Software Developer/ Technical Lead (Software)/ Software Engineer in Software company or in Bank/ NBFI
∎ Should have sound knowledge and working experience in Core Banking/Financial Software
