Job Context:
∎ Genweb2 Limited is looking for Software Developer specializing in building large Android apps by interpreting designs and wireframes into high quality and scalable code.
∎ Candidates must have a strong work ethic, good communication skills (spoken and written English is required), a collaborative mindset, the capacity to learn new skills, and the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing work environment.
∎ We are looking for self starters who are motivated, proactive, and eager to learn and contribute with minimal direction. Attitude is as important as aptitude and specific technical skills.
∎ Developers will work with team members in multiple locations including the US and as such, will be required/expected to be flexible with work hours, communication methods (conference calls, video chat, email etc.) and travel, if practical.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Strong knowledge of Java and Kotlin
∎ Strong grasp on architectural patterns like MVVM, MVP, MVC etc
∎ Up-to-date on the modern Android programming paradigm with the likes of Data Binding, Dependency Injection etc.
∎ Hands on experience of code your way through with different screen sizes, adjust application flow with right life cycle, asynchronous server communication, and complex UI components.
∎ Hands on experience of consuming API through Retrofit and Volley
∎ Working knowledge of SQLite and ORM.
∎ Know how to use Git or Mercurials as version control.
∎ Knowledge of deploying app to Google Play Store is a plus.
∎ Prior knowledge of developing any web based application in Java will add a massive value.
∎ Keen to learn new technologies outside of comfort zone.
∎ Comfortable in Agile environment.
∎ Familiarity with JIRA, Bitbucket, and Trello will be considered as added plus.
