∎ Position Summary: As Social Innovation Project Manager, you will establish a strong team of motivators who view innovation and skills building as a way to unlock the ideas of young people through youth-centered design, and creating the right conditions for innovation to flourish. We are looking for a professional who has extensive knowledge and experience in the innovation and skills space, ideally with digital and non-digital innovations, demonstrating ability to take a pragmatic and hands-on approach to finding creative ways to resolve issues and drive the benefits of adoption of innovation approaches and thinking.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsibility for achieving project results and indicators, fulfilling the contractual obligations of the projects, and ensuring timely and quality implementation.
∎ Responsible for proactive and continuous improvement of project quality and relevance.
∎ Lead on the overall implementation and strategic positioning for RI's Social Innovation program in Cox's Bazar, including supervision and management of the team implementing the project.
∎ Utilization of lessons learned for concrete improvements in program implementation and sharing internally and externally with other partners.
∎ Responsible for managing the project budget.
∎ Manage RI Social Innovation Centers and other innovation and skills activities.
∎ Work with SIC team towards the development and implementation of our program of support that inspires and stretches participating social entrepreneurs, through workshops, one-to-one coaching and best-practice resources.
∎ Coordinate the delivery of high-impact training to young social entrepreneurs, in the form of group workshops, individual coaching and mentoring, drawing on the support of colleagues and external experts as required.
∎ Support business development activity related to Social innovation and skills program, such as contributing to the research, conceptualization and design of new programs, and writing proposals for new projects.
∎ Contribute actively to developing and facilitating new approaches to social innovation, community engagement, youth mobilization, skills training, youth entrepreneurship development, youth employment placement, and mentoring.
∎ Program Implementation:
∎ Work with project team to report to partners and donors in a timely manner and according to donor requirements and formats.
∎ Design and implement Social Innovation Centers in Host Community and Camps in Cox Bazaar.
∎ Work with the Monitoring and Evaluation officer to monitor indicators of the project and document successes and challenges encountered.
∎ Coordinate and manage Social Innovation project implementation (activities, budget and project documentation) in line with proposals, strategies and donor requirements.
∎ Capacity-building and Quality Programming:
∎ Contribute to guidance, coaching and mentorship to the Innovation and Skills team in the setting and achievement of team goals and individual professional development goals.
∎ Contribute to team performance planning and appraisals.
∎ Provide space and opportunities to promote team wellness and safety; report critical incidents to senior management.
∎ Contribute to identification and recruitment of appropriate resource persons and service providers to support the team in the accomplishment of team objectives.
∎ Support the team in promoting and practicing compliance with RI's policies and procedures including those relating to finance, travel, procurement, IT, program and specific donor requirements.
∎ Ensure consistence and coherence in use of implementation and monitoring tools in collaboration with RI Global Technical Advisor.
∎ Work in close collaboration with other members of the team to ensure an integrated approach to meet the other basic needs of the affected population.
∎ External Representation:
∎ Actively engage in and represent RI in relevant sector meetings.
∎ Meet with donors in coordination with Head of CXB Programs to provide regular updates on ongoing programming.
∎ Liaison and collaborate with relevant local and national authorities and stakeholders and represent RI in relevant forums/cluster/working groups.
Additional Requirements:
∎ This position demands a dynamic individual with a demonstrated ability to work hard and achieve results in a demanding, fast paced and often insecure environment.
∎ At least 7 years of solid experience and a track record of success in designing, implementing, managing and monitoring youth empowerment programming.
∎ Extensive experience and demonstrated success in team management.
∎ Experience of capacity building.
∎ Experience of working within budget constraints.
∎ Highly developed writing skills at programmatic level (assessment reports, proposals, and guidance notes).
∎ Demonstrated knowledge of grantee regulations and implementation experience of IOM projects is desirable.
∎ Ability to show initiative, multi-task and provide a consistently high-quality output / deliverables.
∎ Flexible, positive and pro-active attitude essential.
∎ Strong English language written and communication skills required.
∎ Commitment to the aims and principles of Relief International. In particular, a good understanding of the humanitarian mandate and principles.
