Job Context:
∎ As GBV associate, you will be responsible for assisting all gender-based violence (GBV) and general protection activities as part of Relief International`s program in Cox`s bazar. You will provide assistant in set-up and maintenance of Women and Girls Friendly Space (WGFS) within the camps, extension area and host communities.
∎ Duty Station: Ukhiya/Teknaf
∎ Report to: GBV Coordinator
∎ Department: Protection
∎ Expected Start Date: ASAP
∎ Contract length: Up to December 31, 2023 (With possibility of Extension subject to funding, program needs and performance of incumbent)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Overall supervision of materials and staffs for smooth operation of Women and Girls Friendly Space (WGFS).
∎ Raising procurement and stock release request to ensure adequate support to run activities in field.
∎ Designing and overseeing implementation of weekly activities in WGFS.
∎ Supervision of the volunteers and building capacity for GBV, case management and outreach work in field.
∎ Support on Capacity Management of Key Women Support Network Members.
∎ Raising awareness of gender-based violence among community members.
∎ Implement Girl Shine Life Skill Curriculum with five M&E tool to understand impact assessment.
∎ Leading camp volunteers in monthly safety audits.
∎ Close collaboration with WGFS staffs and volunteers.
∎ Support to manage items for doing regular activities of WGFS and Community Based Protection.
∎ Support the timely delivery of program activities following weekly and monthly project work plan.
∎ Work with M&E Officer to collect, analyze, and report data related to program activities.
∎ Support SASA! Together Program implementation where necessary as per requirement
∎ Represent RI in CiC, GBVSS, GBV Camp Focal Point and other relevant clusters and coordination forum.
∎ Ensure recognized international best practices and Relief International policies are applied in the work with Women, children and vulnerable persons.
∎ Any other responsibilities as requested by the supervisor.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 23 years
∎ Only females are allowed to apply
∎ Excellent knowledge on human right, women right, women empowerment and community-based protection mechanism
∎ Respect people and community
∎ Must adhere to GBV Core Guiding Principles and international humanitarian principles and standards for GBViE
∎ Cultural awareness and sensitivity, prior experience in Rohingya camps is preferable
∎ Adequate knowledge and skills in facilitating trainings, coaching and mentoring others
∎ Competency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word and Excel
∎ Ability to communicate clearly and sensitively in written and spoken English
∎ Enthusiasm to learn
∎ Optimistic and friendly
∎ Flexibility
∎ Minimum 1 year experience in NGO sector. Preferably to work in refugee Context.
∎ Language Skills:
∎ Excellent communication skill in English and Bengali
∎ Good command in Rohingya or Chittagonian, an asset

Salary:
∎ As per RI National Pay Scale Policy in Bangladesh

Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Weekly 2 holidays, Insurance
∎ Two festival bonuses in a year equivalent to one Gross salary.
∎ Severance (8.33% of the monthly Gross salary) goes with the monthly release of the salary.
